Good location; close to Campbell River city centre and museum; great water view & comfortable room c/w fridge & microwave & coffee-maker; nice restaurant & parking; nice pool & hot-tub; and could see as potential wedding reception site & stay. I would like to suggest that once you've sent this review out, you do it once, not over and over. I have now received 3 or 4 requests to answer your questions. It has become annoying and I'm wondering about your mode of operation.
all reviews » The staff made our trip! Very friendly an d very helpful. We were there for a medical trip. Also, the view was amazing, rooms were very clean and the food was over the top...excellent!. I enjoyed being on the water side as well it was very quiet and the staff were excellent. Try Hospitality personnel in your units. Newer carpeting was very attractive. The location of the hotel is superb on the banks of the Campbell River the friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast selection was more than adequate. I really appreciated the friendly manner of checking in. I also appreciated the mini fridge in my room. The free breakfast was very nice also. Pool & hot tob available. 24/7 staff. Friendly staff that chat like we've been friends. Breakfast included. Restaurant with a great view. Breakfast was simple but good Room was clean and fresh Although the hotel is a little worn, the rooms are clean and well kept. Helpful Staff, high thread-count sheets, complimentary hot breakfast, ocean view, clean pool and hot tub. Lack of elevator access from 5th floor to 4th floor elevator needed for an older person to get to the restaurant on the 3rd floor. It has become annoying and I'm wondering about your mode of operation. There was heavy dust on the hangers when I hung up my clothing. Beds were comfortable but low to the floor. I know this is a large purchase for a business. Exterior of the hotel is looking dated and the parking area's are heavily cracked - not a huge deal. Nothing to complain about here. Health facilities were adequate but just barely, the one stationary bike didn't work. Needs renovations; hallway carpeting smelled like urine?, valence falling down in suite (508), patio has peeling paint, insufficient plugins, lower tier cable tv, wi-fi unavailable in 508 (New system to be implemented soon). However, everything within the employee's control was great. To stay only one night!. A minor point, but the access to the room from the front desk was somewhat confusing. Long waiting time to get your breakfast which is set. So no choice in what you want. Just to get some toast you had to pay. hotel a "bit tired" but still worth staying. The mattresses. You can feel the coils and very hard. ended up with a back ache. long walk to restaurants and activities. Stairs required to access room. Older feel to hotel. Well maintained but starting to get a run down appearance and some details not working (screen missing on patio door, door didn't close right, little things). The building and room were run down, and even falling apart in some places. There was also no air conditioning, outside of a fan. I've come to the conclusion that you can't count on the web to make decisions about good hotels and motels. Poor layout no air conditioning room hot and uncomfortable. property needs a lot of mainteance ,especially on the ex- terior. Patio sliding door glass had not been cleaned in months. Loud partying until 3:OO AM.
