The facility was very nice and plenty to offer in terms of restaurants and fitness/pool activities. The buffet was excellent in the Garden Court and several families were dining while I was there. Staff was very friendly and helpful anytime I needed anything over my stay. I would also like to thank their on site security as the people in the room adjacent to me were very loud music late at night. One call to the front desk and security immediately responded and the noise was under control in mi.
all reviews » Rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The water slide was our favorite! When traveling with children it was a perfect way to have fun and burn off energy upon our arrival and again, because it was open by 6 A.M. we took them again upon rising which burned that energy once again and made them ready for the days journey. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked it a second time on our journey home!. This is my second stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpfull. The breakfast menu at the restaurent was excellent and food was delicious. I liked the morning Globe and Mail newspaper delivered early in the morning. I will stay again at this hotel when I will visit calgary and I will definitely recommend others to stay at this hotel. Excellent front desk staff during the difficult days of the floods in Calgary Alberta. One staff member was amazing.Her name is Laura and she is just in the training mode and will have a brilliant future in the hospitality business. friendliness of staff, promptness of requests(i.e. asked for microwave), cleanliness of facility, nice clean and warm pool, great service in the lounge, great location to other businesses, changed length of stay with no hassle. Staff at front desk and in the breakfast restaurant absolutely excellent. I did look in at the area of the Sunday Buffet and would have loved to have sampled as it looked really great and value for money, excellent. Nothing but good to say, incredible value for the price. Bed and pillows VERY comfy. I loved the comforter on the bed; was light yet warm and truly made for a very cozy sleep. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The Menus in the 2 dining facilities was varied and reasonably priced. The cost was fair for value. Good quality throughout, excellent meals, excellent service from staff. The front desk on both bookings were not very friendly, no smiles or friendly welcomes. No eye contact as we passed the main desk coming or going. location- industrial area, but the hotel was clean and quiet. did not like the bedding, clean but texture was like it was for a baby's crib, almost seems like comforter has a plastic liner inside of it. No Safe in the room. Left my valuables in a rather antiquated safe deposit system behind the reception desk......not good enough....that needs to change. My room had recently been refurbished and the bed and linen were lovely,however,it may be just taste,but felt the decor to be old fashioned. Nothing negative to say. nothing. I think is so far of the downtown. Location a bit too far from my area of activity. One waitress on Sunday morning. Maybe she should have stayed in bed. More and more hotels use LED bulbs to save on electricity, which is great but it gives a cold feel to the rooms. No balcony, poor location. No complaints at all. Location wasn't that great for us since we we're going to Banff on the next day. Parking can be an issue and lounge and lobby can be noisy. Strange location for a hotel of this quality. The painting in the halls the smell was over whelming. close to railroad and industrial area. bed wasn't very comfortable ( especially the pillows). the front desk clerk had tried to charge my visa for an extra 50 dollars over the amount of the room. My visa company notified me. He was condescending and rude. The lounge staff was inappropriate and spent more time visiting with friends than serving. The room itself was clean and great. room for improvement with the breakfast not very appetizing. Location Not close to C train or down town. Expensive cafe, slow service No kettle in room. small bathroom not that easy to find entrance to hotel, located on Glenmore but you can't get in from Glenmore coming from the west. you have to go down Ogden street and then enter. distance to downtown. Cafe breakfast menu a little pricey for that type of restaurant - and buffet needs more variety and better quality food was cold and did not look very appealing. No continental breakfast. WiFi could be better. Cold room very old, dirty and this blanket Towels was not clean with some stain on them there was no kettle for tea poor wifi internet ugly view. There are two lifts in each floor very far from rooms while rooms in each floor are too much for a single lift in each area. Room rate is very expensive compared with similar or higher grade hotels. However hotel is in a very far place in the city where nothing arround. That was the worst experience ever! I took my two kids to the pool and I did not know that I would be watching soft porn in the hot tub by this couple!!! I'm disgusted at this and would really appreciate if I can get a refund! I had nothing but problems with my keys like 6 times!!! I would like a call from a manager!. I was unimpressed with the beds. We expected two queen beds but they are doubles. They also were horribly uncomfortable. The maid service was horrible. The rooms were very messy.
