Sokha Beach Resort is a beachfront resort located in Sihanoukville, Southern Cambodia. With easy access to the 1.5 km long white sand beach, the resort also features landscaped gardens, swimming pools, multiple choices of restaurants, spa facilities as well as poolside swim up bars. Complimentary WiFi is available in the public areas. Staff is able to converse in Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Khmer and English. All rooms feature a private balcony and are fitted with wooden flooring, individual air conditioning and hot water system. Other amenities included in the rooms are a kettle, a personal safety deposit box, a flat-screen cable TV, minibar, slippers and an en suite bathroom with toothbrushes, separate bathtubs and shower cubicles. Beachfront dining options are also available via “The Deck Tapas Bar”, “Lemongrass”, "Champa Cafe" and "China House", which offer a wide selection of local Khmer, Asian and Western cuisines. Jasmine Spa also offers guests relaxing massages in private treatment rooms, which include double and triple massage bed combinations for couples, families and friends. Guests can also select to have their massages at the outdoor kiosks on the terrace, while overlooking the sea view. Guests can also enjoy the complimentary steam, sauna, hot tub, the fitness centre, or even the Kids’ Club. Located within 30 minutes driving distance from Sihanoukville International Airport, 5 minutes to the coastal town centre, and a 4-hour drive from Phnom Penh International Airport, Sokha Beach Resort offers two-way airport transfers depending on destinations and upon availability.

The private beach and the swimming pool are the best of this hotel. Rooms were not as big as I expected but it's ok. I had problem twice during my stay with water leakage (from the AC according to the maintenance staff). I informed front desk and on the same time they sent somebody to fix it. Concierge service is great! They can get anything you need. Massage in the Jasmin Spa is a must do after the beach. Food is great quality!! Prices are a little overcharged, but you pay for quality and cl.
all reviews » The private beach is amazing! Swimming in the pool and the sea was very nice and relaxing. Staffs were extremely helpful. Lemon grass restaurant is really nice. Cocktails are not pricy and they have happy hours. :P The hotel provides free shuttle bus to the town. At the beach they have diving, snorkling and other water entertainment. They might be a little more expensive but it's worth the money cuz you'll have lots of privacy. I love and miss Sokha beach!. The Beach, Pool, Atmosphere and Staff are so helpful and friendly. Would defo come back here - i just dont know what the previous negative reviews were about. The best beach around Shinaukville. We spent very quiet and enjoyable time at the sea. The room is spacious, nice and clean. The food is delicious (btw: it is cheaper to dine in the hotel restaurant than to order by room service). We chose Sokha Beach Resort because on the internet it seemed like the only reasonable resort on the Cambodian coast. We were travelling with 2 small kids, so we were looking for something mildly family friendly. The resort was okay in this respect although it isn't quite there. We were however pleasantly surprised by the hotel that they picked up on my wife's birthday and delivered a bunch of red roses and cake to our room. The location is excellent. The pool is good. The internet connection was hassle free and sufficiently fast. The response to serious complaints was fast and appropriate. The third room following the second re-allocation. The food at Lemongrass/The Deck was good, the beach is beautiful and private.. very relaxing. The pool is nice too. Good location, wonderful beach, not crowded at all, big hotel, big rooms, the breakfast is OK, rather helpful staff. Nothing specially..An ordinary beach hotel.But that city is nice and you can find very nice hotel there... It might also be that the staff is getting used to the constant demands of the guests and getting a bit complacent about it. Slow service at The Deck restaurant and the front desk team unsure how to add my frequent flyer details to earn airline miles. The menu was limited , a suggestion would be to add more Khmer cuisine. Champa Lounge: Seafood BBQ - Stressfull Out of 6 breakfasts we were offered coffee or tea once. It has all the facilities, but it is lacking on all fronts. The rooms are boring, the gardens are not maintained to a proper standard (e.g. grass is brown), and the beach/sea is just really dirty despite noticeable efforts by staff to tidy up (probably drifting garbage from other areas). All in all, it just seems very overpriced for Cambodia, especially for a hotel that has no flair at all. The bed bug in the first room. In the second room (after relocation), the faulty toilet that constantly flushed. Signs that suggest you will be 'fined' if you fail to return beach towels by a certain time. The staff at Champaa Cafe were unattentive and some were unfriendly. The hotel room had mold. For a 4-5 star hotel, I expected more. Would rate this as a 3 star hotel. not good value for money, you can enjoy much better hotel in Bali for Sokha's price. with those price range I expected something special...And they cheat you with the excange rates if you want to pay in KHR. Breakfast was a bit chaotic. There was really no plan for each worker. I had to ask 3 people for coffee and didn't receive it til after my meal. The resort itself was a bit tired and outdated, it could use a little TLC. the place feel 3-4 stars most of the time they can do better with cleaning the rooms breakfast is unispiring. There were not enough options for eating and the staff didn't warn us that going 'Downtown' was extremely dangerous, following an attempted robbery, we didn't leave the hotel and had limited options for eating. Don't ask for anything with mayonaisse, it turns up as mayonaisse soup with one or two flakes of tuna floating in there!. lack of activity at the beach. This hotel definitely did not live up to it's 5 stars. Constantly told the wrong information, the room temperature never went below 25, the air con was rubbish. The hot water was Luke warm at best. Stay somewhere else, I wouldn't have minded if they charged the same as the resorts downtown. bad smell in the room old room all the bathroom full of mold. Huge chinese budget travel groups take over. Food very poor. Not a single authentic feature in the whole place. 3 star not 5 star.
