The position of the Beach Club Resort was very good. Walking to restaurants and very close to the beach, but not right on the beach which was a noisy busy place. The rooms were large and the beds ok. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The owner was very friendly and made our stay more personal. Breaky was quite good for the price and food and cocktails very good. Owner is a Danish lady so staff are great english speakers, and that was very important, they easily helped us with anything we asked for; maps, advices, mobile phone, laptop to use. Swimming pool is probably best maintained in whole Cambodia. Beach is located less than 5 mins from a hotel.
all reviews » Good for a stopover on the way to the islands and a little away from the noise and the crowds on the beach at night. Ate at Nyam restaurant just opposite. The staff, food, rooms and atmosphere were excellent for the price(mid range for cambodia)Relaxing while being felt taken care of. Will be back. Fantastic staff. we were only there one night and were happy to organise a later check out for us so we could shower after the beach. excellent pool facilities good restaurant clean comfortable rooms. The staff were fantastic and extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The pool was clean and nice to relax by although would have been nice to have a shady spot over the pool as the sun is extremely hot!. Great Wifi. Once you see the city, you will realize why this hotel gets 4 stars. This would be a great setting for a sitcom. Nice pool and furniture around it. Decent breakfast. Excellent young lad on reception. Large rooms. Nice pool,nice bar,good stuff,clean room,breakfast ok. Staff were great. Good pool area.Good location. Didnt like the old cupboards in the room. They badly need an update and smelt mouldy. A/c didn't really work in our room, but we prefer ceiling fan on slow speed anyway. The power was out in the hotel's section of town and their generator broke down. The owner was very accessible, helpful and generous and cancelled our reservation at no cost despite staying one night. It was only a shame we couldn't stay. Pool was slightly chemical. aircon not to effective. The rooms smell damp and the wardrobe left all out clothes smelling damp. There is a 3% charge to use your card to pay but this was not told to us until the end if our stay when we were unable to withdraw the money from the bank to pay. Upon talking with the owner this charge was dropped to 2% but would have been nice had the charge have been waved altogether. No secondary door lock. Condensation from split ac unit. The bed. Bring cash, the credit card machine never works. Rooms desperate for revamp . New bathroom fittings and tiles needed. Bar and waiting staff need to put their mobiles down and attend to guests first. shower not in good conditions.
