Food was very good, a wide selection of dishes, including vegan food. Animation team did a really great job, each night they made a different show, always involving guests, kids loved mini disco and pirates day.`Rooms are large and spacious, cleaned every day. Animation team - very good, the rooms - large, they were cleaning the rooms every day, I asked through letsbookhotel.com a quiet room, they knew about it and they gave me, very good food (not the one from kids buffet and not the cakes). all reviews » There was a good variety of food, but not all were good quality. The pool area had plenty of room for the guests. Over all, we got great service for the price we paid and we enjoyed our time at the Atlas Hotel. Angel at the bar was very helpful and friendly. + Friendly personnel + nice spacy room with balcony (the see view a bit from 2d floor) + pool and animation especially for kids but not only +good food. - spacious rooms - very convenient position - 5 minutes from the beach and yet far from disco noise - good food & facilities Great value for money. We didn't like the fact that the hotel let people reserved their deck chairs at the poolside for the entire week and left others without a chance to get a better spot closer to the pool. The desserts were refilled too slow and poor quality of the local alcoholic beverages. - Not free sun loungers, parasols and towels on the beach (at the beach costs 19l to have them=almost 10 eur/person) - not enough parking places (the whole resort has this issue 5 EUR per day/parking place) - Long line at the grill (impolite guests) (more grills would be necessary when more families with kids are coming) - Not healthy kids menu (strange hamburger to be replaced with grill chicken, and smashed potatoes from real potatoes). - no parking available at hotel - no big deal, parking available near. All night music from nearby disco. Rude fellow guests not waiting for you to get out of the lifts. Not much choice of food. Parking is too small. No parking place at the hotel. check in at 14:30, lunch started at 14:30... so when i asked at reception for bracelets they told me to wait half an hour... they said ultra all inclusive, but for chivas for example they charged me extra. few parking slots bit far from beach. The Hotel is pretty far from the beach. No internet access in the rooms. (There was wi-fi only in the lobby.). Doctor's service. Paying for extrabed even when at the letsbookhotel.com appeared free. Room for 3 person, instead to 5. I don't recommend this hotel to others. noisy if you get rooms with pool view; sunbeds 'reserved' with towels for hours on row but not used; reasonably good food, but not much choice (especially veggi or people eating less fat food); they have a parking but you have to bribe the bellboys to get a place, otherwise they are 'reserved';. The food was very bad and old.i eat liver and was green .the guis from parking ask me euro to let me park my car in the hotel parking. Food and drinks. It was visible that some of the staff were sick and tired of their job, so they were not acting as they should have. Also, in the 2nd week we noticed that the pool area was not cleaned up properly. The staff under qualified!. The staff is not trained for a 4 star hotel. They are incapable of dealing with their guest, they are not friendly and even they don't know how to handle the bookings and the payments accordingly. E.G. I have a reservation for 3 night and they charge us for 5 night without prior notice so we have to settle the difference with big difficulties. Especially the receptionists are under qualified for this kind of job!!. They force us to checkin at 2pm and did not allow us to go in the restaurant until 2.30pm (when the lunch is over). The checkout is at 12. All inclusive with only one dinner and one breakfast. -The room was not clean , and the door was about to fool -at leaving they say its missing 2 towels, but after one hour of inquiry they said mai e not missing -very expensive for what they offer, and they charge me 35 euro per day for a 3 year old child -parking-almost none.

Information about the area

The Golden Sands resort is located 18 kilometres north of the city of Varna and near the Golden Sands National Park. It is a magnificent resort, the largest one on the northern Black Sea coast, with richly wooded hills, wide golden beaches and clear blue sea. There are a lot of very famous and ancient mineral water springs. The resort’s beach strip is 3,5 km long and up to 100 m wide. The average air temperature in Summer is 27 - 30 degrees Celsius and the water temperature is 25 - 28 degrees.Celsius. Golden sands suits both sun worshippers and sightseers being near to Varna - the third largest town in Bulgaria, the pearl of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast and with a great number of places of interest.
