In fact we stayed in the appartments of the hotel, because it was said that on the day of our arrival they had a problem with the internet, so they did n't see our booking, so they kindly took us to the appartments. Information about the area

Bansko is considered to be the fastest developing ski resort in Europe and it is the most popular ski resort in Bulgaria. Situated about 160 km from the capital Sofia, Bansko has excellent winter conditions with a great snow cover from December until May. This charming little town will impress any skier who appreciates great slopes with modern infrastructure in breathtakingly beautiful surroundings.

After the long winter season the resort changes into a wonderful summer destination offering walking, hiking, hunting, fishing, biking and climbing. With over 120 cultural and historic monuments in and around the town, including the world-famous Rila monastery, Bansko is also known for its authenticity and well-preserved traditions. The Pirin National Park, listed as a Natural World Heritage Site by the UNESCO, is situated south of the town. Pirin and the area abound in thermal springs, endemic plant species, waterfalls, caves, nature reserves, rocks and peaks, presenting excellent conditions for eco-tourism regardless of season.
