The staff was extremely friendly and patiently answered our questions. The terrace and pool are very nice. You can easily go to centre by bus and even from/to airport. La vista al mar desde nuestra habitacion. Food, location, staff. the location. The room was clean and tidy and the view from the pool area was great. Excellent location on the beach. Friendly staff during the day.

It is a little bit old-fashioned. Even if you know this before you will be disappointed when seeing the rooms the first time. Do not expect a nice beach closely. Los asensores son un poco lentos. One day they forgot to set and clean the room !. the bathroom. We had to ask for a safe key and for our room to be cleaned on the first day. The gym was terrible, the equipment is very old and falling apart. Old hotel that needs to be renovated. Not very friendly or welcoming staff at reception on the evening of arrival, although I asked to change room and they did it. Breakfast was just ok. Brazilian stars do not equate to stars in Asia or Europe. Marazul is spartan, and dated. Elevator not always working - out for days - and no alternative. Minibar on ration, but no vending machines for extras and guests are not allowed to bring stuff from outside hotel. Biggest disavantage: thin connecting doors between rooms, making you hear everything that is said and done next door. Second complaint (but solved): booking double room (one big bed) and getting a twin (2 small ones) instead. The food for the breakfast is average and staff is not good at English. I asked do i have to fill out the whole paper , without looking again the said yes We looked at each other .... We could not believe staff ;) behind a hotel desk ...The men at breakfast the same no smile ... Rooms and facilities are a bit outdated. Dated place . Horrible bedrooms. I would not advise anyone to stay there. Internet not working during our stay. The lift was also out of order. In general the hotel was quite tired and dated and we were glad that we only booked for one night. The 'icing on the cake' was when, after returning from dinner, the hotel staff accused my wife of being a prostitute. Surprisingly this would have been ok as long as I paid them a 'surcharge' in cash. We checked out early next morning, not recommended. Old, impersonal, depressing atmosphere, low services, unhelpful stuff, you pay at the check in (not at check out) Its definitively not a 4* hotel by far.
