Our hosts Katrien and Steven were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, and spoke very good English. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the house was beautiful. We would definitely stay there again. Very convenient for the centre of Ypres, but very quiet also. Really lovely rooms and a unique opportunity to taste life behind Ieper's imposing facades. Close to the central square but in a quiet street. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and breakfast is in a league of its own, Great experience.

Katrien was hugely apologetic and would have made sure we were on the 1st floor had I thought to warn her in advance. Nothing. We would have liked stronger coffee! Everything else was so delightfully done that we couldn't possibly ask as we didn't want to criticise in any way. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. nothing. Nothing. Bathroom was open plan with just a wall to the bedroom, although the owner did allow us to use their seperate toilet, next door. need to have kettle in room so the guest can make a cup of tea or coffee.
