This welcoming 2-star hotel is the only hotel in the centre of the historic town of Damme and is situated close to different cycling routes.The hotel offers free private parking on site for bicycles and motorbikes. Located in a beautiful and quiet area of the West Flanders countryside, this small and pleasant hotel is perfect for cycling. For your convenience, De Speye offers cycling arrangements and a locked bicycle garage. This charming and familiar hotel is located near to the Bruges-Sluis canal and is about 4 km from the city of Bruges, 8 km from Sluis and 10 km from the coast.

The room was very clean. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast (included in the room price) was very good, a lot of choice and with fresh orange juice!! The reception is in the restaurant next door so if you arrive in the dark as I did - it wasn't so obvious.Good food, very clean and exceptionally friendly - would recommend toanyone and return ourselves.

Only one key for a double room. Maybe it's asking for too much but considering that De Speye is a 2 star, but we missed a fridge @ 30oC and a receptionist.
