Comfort and staff. It was chosen as a stop over before catching an early flight in themorning. It was perfect for this, clean, tidy, very convenient to themotorway for the airport. very clean hotel, nice pubs 2mins walk, only 5mins walk from local bus station, (take bus from airport to town, only 2.5 euros, takes 11mins). big room, comfortable bathroom with a bath, service to the airport, tea/coffee set, nice location. I used this hotel for the 1st time 3 yrs ago when my plane was cancelled and I was stranded, anit was the most expensive but well worth the money, having the kettle to make your own coffee more than covers the extra cost. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel is clean and comfortable. I think it is exellent that you can smoke in the rooms and it will always be my first choice now. Shuttle to and from Airport was reliable.We ate in the hotel restaurant and had a lovely, very reasonably priced meal. It was a shame the none of the restaurant staff spoke english but we were able to communicate what we wanted and they were very friendly. The guy on reception was very friendly and upgraded us when no twin room was available and the room we got was very large. Contrary to expectations, my single room was spacious and very quiet. The staff were very helpful. I had read complaints about rooms smelling of smoke and specifically asked that my room should not do so - in fact it was fine.I didn't enjoy it much....really rough city and watch what street you walk down......a seedy red light street..... Near to station. Simple but clean, very friendly staff, free wi-fi throughout. Restaurant makes a decent steak! 5 minute walk from the train station, excellent for accessing Brussels (16 Euros return) and airport (2.5 euros on the bus). I asked for non smoking room and there was a distinct smell ofcigarettes in the room as well as a cigarette burn on the bath - notnon smoking.The lack of english in the restaurant!. There were several cracked tiles in the bathroom and I couldn't manage to change the bath tap from shower attachment to bath only or vice versa - water always came out of both. Hotel was lovely, perfect room, very clean and the staff were lovely. The taxi to the airport for free was a bonus. Good location though!. Internet hookup. hotel booking said that stay would include transport both ways from airport. This was only offeredf or return journey. mini bar was empty, room was not warm enough. smell. Breakfast was not included in the room prize and I payd 10 € for one capuccino and a sweet pasta. That is too much!!!!. Bathroom too old dated. An attempt has been made to refurbish the rooms but simply painting old worn-out surfaces silver doesn't improve things much. Restaurant a bit dirty and smelly. Breakfast rather poor for 11 Euros. spidernets at the corner of the room.
