It was a lovely experience and I recommend the stay at the Sheraton to anyone. The staff upgraded our room. I am certainly coming back. It was clean, safe and value for money. Staff were helpful and always cheery. Atmosphere of hotel was always good. Wonderful place. Good link with public bus (1.25 USD) with Airport - city center (strew market) - Fish fry Restaurant and supermarket in 10 minutes walk Good services in beach and pool.

The hotel was on the beach and still very quiet. There was a great pool and beach for swimming. All of the staff were very friendly and quite helpful. The resort had everything to make a fabulous holiday. Transport was easily accessible to get you around the island. The beach was fantastic and great swimming pools. Breakfasts were excellent too. Yeah the fact that it was right on the beach is nice location and the staff was friendly as they usually are in the Caribbean however I didn't like the fact that the price that I paid at booking that calm was totally different $100 more. Generally staff were very friendly, but some front desk staff lazy and not accommodating in timely fashion...made to wait at counter 5-10 mins for service..too laid back for 4 star hotel chain. Very nice and comfortable room normally reserved for "Starwood special guests". The location is convenient, and free internet was provided. Location, Beach, structure, staff. Kids were able to swim. The breakfast was not complimentary and that wasn't helpful. Maybe small touches like a minibar,especially water in the room would be nice and normal tea and snacks too. As not all people like coffee. No fridge in room to cool down drinks. Plus hotel shops were closed at late hours. Far from Paradise Islamd and Atlantis. Bed too soft, some beach and pool chairs stained. The breakfast buffet was a little more expensive than I had anticipated although the food was good and there was never a wait. After reading there was only wired Internet in the rooms I ended up taking a wireless router to use in the room so I could use multiple computers, tablets and smartphones. It wasn't super difficult, but slightly inconvenient to bring a router. Internet slow or non existent in the room. No WiFi throughout the hotel. Some tidying up in the rooms though very comfortable. As the tap water is not drinkable, at least 2 water bottles should be supplied in the rooms for free. The resort fee of $40/day is not explained at check in and adds up to an big expense on a 5 day stay. Paid for the Hobi-cat yacht which should have been free from what is implied on the website!. The price is too high. Upon arrival, they said they didn't have my reservation. However, there was no problem with availability and, since I had a copy of my reservation they honored the rate. Still, it makes me wonder, how reliable is the booking. What if there had been no room?. HIgh priced drinks and food. But, hey, it is a resort after all. :). All extra fees. Not being notified of the exorbitant hidden fees and taxes. The Sheraton penalizes their own guests for services they give to the general public for free. They charged me an additional $70 per day for these fees! This was insulting!. Food and water are WAY too expensive!!!! Needs more affordable food options. Needs maintenance -- especially pool/jacuzzi area. Definitely the lack of in room hi speed internet. Having to go to the lobby to receive or send emails especially on a business trip was ridiculous. Not sure if some marketing / sales guru figures you will spend money buying tea/coffee/drinks etc if you are not in your room but it does not work!! For this single reason, I would not stay again even though I really like the hotel itself and the staff. No towels or menu book and no furniture to sit on the patio. the taxes. yeah these people at booking not come charge me 100 and $59 for the room when I got pay another $90 so I think booking dot com should refund me some of that money they advertise that I've 159 and that's what I expected to pay so I'm looking for refund. Significant security gaps, allowing 24/7 access of non hotel residents into hotel hallways and hotel room areas, leading to several serious threats to my 2 daughters staying in their own room by two non resident men on more than 3 occasions over 24 hrs. Very poor /dangerous situation which I brought to Sr management attention. Also, room description on Opodo website did not match room provided..needs to be made consistent or misleading and disappointing. The little girl at reception when I checked in could have been a little more pleasant....she obviously does not yet realize who pays for her salary!. The $40 per person, per night "resort fee". This is highway robbery - especially as I was there on business and did not use the resort features. There should be one up front price for guests to pay that covers all the included features. I will not be back because of this. Resturant, wifi limited to The lobby, no value for money. Overpriced meals at hotel restaurants, lack of childcare possibilities for infants, large queues at reception desk. Some of the staff (unfriendly), some of the facilities (old/run down), pool lights not on at night (what they were designed for), restaurants/dining not open late enough and too few dining options. Terrible WiFi. Huge cockroach in my room. Whirlpool was filthy. So cold at rooms. No info about safety deposit. Did not like getting charged an Extra $40.00 for a service cleaning charge. Felt that we were totally ripped off. Need to disclose that fact when you are making reservation. Not right!!!. Breakfest is one of the worst I every had in hotel. It is almost imposible to get noraml food on the teritory. Rooms are not clean. Public bathrooms were very derty. In general I was suprised it had Sheraton brand. Old furniyure, old carpets, Needs to be renewed. Filthy, room very dirty, restaurants closed. Very expensive especially for what you are getting. Every cab costs $20.00 and you needs taxis. Rooms Cleaning service did not even throw away soap paper Hair everywhere in the bathroom Pool seems not be refurbished for 20 years Sunbeds really old. - Bed table light bulb not working - mildew above shower - safe battery out twice in 3 days.Never came to change it the second time - no housekeeping if they saw the sign do not disturb. They do not come back later Definitively a not well maintained and managed hotel. The very high cost of things if the value for money was the sane 1to1 us. The rooms smell like mold Food was terrible Service was horrible I would never return or suggest anyone go.
