We made this trip by train through the lovely countryside. It was very easy to locate the LinzerGasse and the Hotel from the Bahnhof. Th - We loved everything about this hotel. The location was superb (1-1/2km to train station and walking distance to old town Salzburg), the street (Linzergasse) was pretty and vibrant, the hotel was clean and very comfortable, and the service was excellent! If you love to stick your head out the window and see what's going on in the street below, ask for a room facing the front (fun!). There are also lovely quiet rooms facing the back. The manager was extremely helpful with advice and suggestions

  The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a reasonable size, clean and comfortable. There was a lift which was convenient. The hotel was easy to reach by car with ample free parking. There was a good selection of food at breakfast. The hotel was in a fairly quiet, location not too far from the city - about 15 minutes from the centre by foo... what people say » t. There was a bus but we did not feel the need to use it. There was an excellent restaurant across the road which served Italian and Pakistani meals. - The accommodation was a short walk to the city centre. The garden was lovely and everything was impeccably clean. Plenty of parking was available and a great selection of tasty options was provided for breakfast. The staff were hospitable and the Salzburg card (which is great value for money - was available for purchase at the front desk.

After several nights in noisy city hotels, we were thankful for this location with mountain views from each window, away from city noise, but just a 15-minute bus ride into Salzburg from a bus stop 5 minutes away. Breakfast was bountiful and we had delicious dinners there both nights.

  The hotel was very good value for money. The guest kitchen facility is brilliant and really allows you to economise on food spending by making quick meals/sandwiches. The room was clean and comfortable and I was very pleased with the experience I got for the money paid. There are timetables in the hotel for the buses and they also have a map of the city centre. Aldi and Spar and Mcdonalds are nearby at - If you do not know where to have a breakfast have it in the hotel! If you are travelling by car there is an underground parking so you do not have to worry about a parking space even if the hotel is full, and you probably will not use the car because with a SalzburgCard all buses are free! Buying a SalzburgCard is a big advantage and very good deal if you want to see most of the museums (the castle with the trolley) - just get a brochure of the SalzburgCard and you'll find out why it is a must!

We enjoyed wine and cheese and crackers and a good read each afternoon on our peaceful balcony. The bier garden had great food at fair prices. Parking was a plus. The desk clerk placed our leftover picnic meat and cheese in the kitchen refrigerator until we were ready to leave. Comfortable be - Rooms were really clean and comfortable, even if one had a really small bathroom. It's a bit far from the centre of the city, but there are a lot of bus and it's easy to get everywhere.Staff really kind and great breakfast!
