We loved this place. Amazing location, in grounds of a ruin and a museum. Half an hour hike up well - maintained path to wonderful ruined fort & spectacular views. Great base for walkers as 3 ruins are nearby. Food was great - generous portions, fab salad, some unusual and tasty options. A couple of staff speak good English. Really helpful, laid-back and hospitable manager. We were in apartment rooms & they were well - furnished with very comfortable beds.

Off the beaten path but an excellent location with an easy drive to the Ludwig castles in Germany and the breath-taking mountains of Austria. The food at the restaurant was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Some of our group toured the museum and even donned suits of armor and chainmaille. Great stay, highly recommend!!!. We slept here during our tour from Neuschwanstein castle (only about 20 km). Good value hotel, really nice complex, our room was very modern and new and comfortable, good mattress and blankets, really excellent! Breakfast was great, too. Staff (older man) was nice to us. Clean, spacious, confortable rooms. Good value for money restaurant. Pleasant staff who did their best to communicate in English. I would certainly go back if travelling through Tirol again. The staff were amazing really helpful and chatty. Food was splendid, lots of choice and really great quality. The rooms were clean aned looked really new. Location was perfect. The rooms were well equipped and spotless ideal with families, lovely staff always had a smile especially the young man in the restaurant, what a star. Our host was terrific, so friendly, and the hotel, although a short drive out of Reutte was in a great location for hiking and exploring. The site is excellent, the ruins are great and there are three in walking distance. Good hotel, friendly staff and excellent food!. The rooms were large and clean and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We loved hicking up to the castle ruins. Very spacious, new accomodation. Well equipped room. Restaurant had decent menu and was good value. The site was sooo peaceful. The room was lovely & the staff were very helpful. It's very good location, with very nice staff and very clean rooms, comfortable. We enjoyed the castle ruins. Only one thing - extractor fan in toilet was noisy & ran for a long time. Otherwise, great :-). Complex is quite close to the main road but with closed window there was no noise in the room. We all enjoyed this one despite the wet weather setting in while we were here!!. I have booked by internet, you know all the details....skip those cumbersome outcheck procedures!!. Restaurant area was not big enough for breakfast - not enough tables; some of the food ran out. A little disorganised. I was under the impression that we were staying in the castle when really our rooms were in the knights quarters and the castle is a distance away. There was a rock concert in the hall next to the hotel building. We can't sleep till 3 a.m.
