  I sort of fell into the Holzerwirt after a B&B that I had booked did not work out. I booked for one night but stayed an extra night because it was so lovely. Big, comfortable single room in a location in an old stone building it felt like I had air conditioning, which was great because it was brutal hot. I will be back! - This was a wonderful hotel. We booked this hotel at the last minute and only stayed one night because of our schedule, but would have stayed longer if we could. The staff was extremely helpful getting us directions to the places we wanted to go, and the food was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

  The situation of the hotel was fantastic with amazing views particularly overlooking Salzburg with the mountain range as a backdrop. We also loved the food and the flexibility and convenience of being able to order evening meals at a special half board rate when required. The staff and owners were particularly friendly and helpful. - Although the l... what people say » ocation of the hotel was away from the city centre and quite a hike if you walk from the last bus stop it is well worth the effort to get there even if you are without a car. It was a pleasant change from staying in a city and the view of the snowcapped alps from the room added to the experience
