  The room was beautiful and had an amazing view of Salzburg which was not that obvious to us from the description of the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful but not overbearing or snobby like in some other higher end hotels. A very upscale traditional gasthof, with large beautiful rooms and an impressive array of restaurant facilities - lots of marble, nice woods, etc. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, with most fluent in English as well as German (and probably several other languages, too).

  This is our second time at this Hotel but the last time, they were full (December 2005) and we had not booked!) but they kindly let us stay with their Aunt who lives in a house in the grounds. The evening meal was just as good, great value and real Austrian, local menu and produce. Very rustic, pine and typically Tyrolean. - The hotel was lovely, beautiful gardens and pool. It was very well maintained and the staff were always friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed 2 great meals in the restaurant. We appreciated the setting slightly out of Salzburg.

  The situation of the hotel was fantastic with amazing views particularly overlooking Salzburg with the mountain range as a backdrop. We also loved the food and the flexibility and convenience of being able to order evening meals at a special half board rate when required. It was a pleasant change from staying in a city and the view of the snowcapped alps from the room added to the experience
