Clean, well appointed unit overlooking the water. The location is close enough to Bicheno and Freycinet as well as wineries along the route. As a 2 bdrm, it offered the pricing we were expecting. There is a pool but too bad we couldn't use the beach because it was too chilly. Amazing water views. This hotel is really just close to beach, you can walk down to have a view,but that day was really heavy rainny day. I was late to get the key the reception left the key out the door. But you have to ask the wifi password from them before 6pm. No 3g network in the town.
all reviews » The place we stayed in was the beach chalet which is relatively modern and well equipped. The sea view is awesome and we managed to catch the sunrise from the balcony. Wonderful place to stay in although we only had 1 night there. The chalets were close to the beach, very clean, neat, well laid out and comfortable. We will be returning for a few more days rather than just overnight The owners were very helpful and friendly and helped with queries we had. Great location, right on the beach with fantastic views. Beautifully clean and well equipped. Staff were exceptionally helpful, ringing Bicheno to check on penguin tours for us. Would highly recommend the Swansea Chalets. The park managers were polite and friendly. They were very helpful and caring hosts. The cabin was well appointed and comfortable and at a location that provided easy access to shops and entertainment and tourist venues. I have 4 children and we have all stayed at Swansea beach chalets numerous times and we will still be back for more. Ideal spot, friendly staff, clean and comfortable chalets. It's a home away from home :). The location and views of the beach superb, close to town, easily accessed and very nice. The Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The facilities great, very much enjoyed our stay. Location to bicheno or Hobart Located near to magnificent dinner or breaky at mill bark tavern. Footstep of magnificent views. This is our 2nd stay and we will certainly be back next year. We loved the peace, views, solitude and the pleasure of doing nothing, but doing it so well!. It rained all during our stay, nothing much you can do about this!!. Nothing except we wished we could have stayed longer. We only occupied our cabin for a shortime but we had no complaints regarding the accommodation or the service provided to us. Nothing In summer would definitely like to know that it was next to a caravan park. Nothing. If us forgetting to buy salt and pepper was an issue, then that was all!. Advertised a spa bath would have liked a double spa bath taking advantage of the view instead just a one person bath shower in te normal bathroom. None. Small kitchen & no oven, but who wants to cook on holidays. That we didn't stay longer!. chalets were really close together and felt a little like temporary dongas. not quite the picture preented on the website. felt like a caravan park. Laundry facilities quite distant in adjoining caravan park and took only $1 coins. Quite annoying. For the price of the chalets I would expect a washing machine which could easily be installed in the bathroom. The lack of curtain for the glass panel in the living room, hence lacking some privacy. Mattress a bit lumpy. Otherwise perfect. The mattress was a little lumpy. Thought the jacuzzi tub would have been bigger from the picture but very minor. Was disappointed that we paid for spa room but the spa didn't work. That we could only stay one night because we were moving in the next day. Nothing. A stay at swansea chalets would be enhanced by providing a full length mirror in the units. overpriced for what was offered.
