Free wifi a definite benefit although a bit erratic at times. Good location for getting into the city as tram just around the corner at Highett. Excellent experience would definitely return if we came again.

  Everything about my stay here was fantastic. It's a great place for reps travelling, couples and families. Staff fantastic, room was great in the tower (upgraded to this room,thank you) so close to everything including the beautiful lady bay walk. Staff were so helpful and welcoming. The room was large, comfortable and very well-equipped, and the hotel is situated in a quiet part of the town, near tourist attractions and the sea. It was useful to have a pc for use by guests in the reception area.

  My friend had a problem climbing the stairs, as when I booked I didn't realize there was up and down stairs. The lady at the desk re arranged the booking to a ground floor room, which was no bother to her and a big plus to us. Otherwise everything was spot on..   The staff were awesome. From the pick up & return to the airport by the hotel shuttle bus was a fantastic service. This alone would make me stay here again. Their night shift driver "JP" even dropped me to the nearest Tram so i could use a more cost effective way into the city. Yeah it takes longer but for $3.50 return by tram to the city is a... what people say » bargain, plus "JP" picked me up in the shuttle bus upon my return to take me back to the motel. This is a fantastic service. I would not hesitate to - myself and my new husband booked the wrong date we flew back into Australia,and at 11:30pm we were able to not only change it to that night-but a free shuttle came to get us!! the room was huge and so clean and bearly 5 mins from the airport. breaky was amazing and we even had a gym to go sweat some over eating from our hoiladay! the staff even helped us with a luggage scale so we could weigh our bags for our flight the next morning. i cannot say enough how amazing i found this hotel, and would

  We had an enjoyable time. Staff great - very helpful, nothing too much trouble, room- very roomy, good size, comfortable, very clean, great quiet location, stones throw from everything. Will not be staying in city from now on , will be staying at Crest on Barkly. Wish I had known about this place years ago !   I rang and asked Brett how much a taxi would be, and he gave me a superb tip saying 'Taxi's from the airport are $110 each way, hire a car and save a fortune.' and I did. I thanked him profusely when I was there. The lady on the front when I arrived was also lovely. REally friendly, helpful people. - We've known of the place for many years and had friends stay previously, this was the first time four us. Our room had been recently renovated, meaning it was clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. We would stay there again as it was good value for money.

  Really impressed with Budget 1 Hotel, really great facilities especially for the price - facilities included an outdoor pool, good restaurants, and gym. Staff were really helpful. I had originally booked into a single room, but once I arrived found out my partner was joining me in Melbourne sooner than planned, the staff were really accommodating ... what people say » and upgraded me to a double room at no extra charge - was really lovely of them. Clean rooms, easy to get into the city, and supermarkets and grocers - The staff at reception are welcoming, very helpful and friendly. Hotel will hold the luggage for few hours until the flight time after check out. This was very helpful. There were sufficient facilities for internet access, restaurants etc., Simply a wonderful place to stay for the budget traveller. I would definitely take my family next time.
