Setting near the water with lovely walks; quiet and relaxed surroundings, wonderful staff. facilities were comfortable, modern and suited our purpose. Lovely area outside the rooms to socialise, we had 5 couples for a wedding and a great place to catch up share a beer and food. definitely return.
Redland Bay motel suited our purpose perfectly, and was in easy walking distance of shops and eating places. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the beds very comfortable. Light b'fast each day was good, and we were able to enjoy the tropical garden and weather.all reviews »
The owner of the hotel was so helpful with directions etc and generally
very friendly. The beds were soooooo comfortable which was great since I
was there at an expo all weekend and needed comfort after standing all
day talking to people.
The small garden was colourful and undercover parking was available for most guests.
Although the unit was small, it was adequate and very clean. It was air conditioned, but the overhead fan was all we needed for comfort.
Convenient location, close to main roads and ferry terminal. Very pleasant staff and very helpful. Our room was a good size, comfortable and very clean, ideal for a short stay or longer.
The owner Maxine was delightful, nothing was too much trouble for her.
The motel rooms were simple yet very comfortable and clean. I also liked
the off street covered parking.
what I liked the most is the motel is the midway point between the gold coast and Brisbane both within a easy drive . close to shops wireless internet etc .
It was clean, quiet, and within walking distance of the bay and town. Conveniently situated for the Wedding we were attending at the Golf Club.
We stayed to attend a funeral and were treated with the utmost respect. Our hosts were very friendly and most accommodating.

Because we did not have a car to use, more detailed info about the local buses would have been helpful for us, and also a more detailed street map. Some timetables and destination information would have been very helpful to us. We also had some drama with the shower in our room, as it flooded the floor. Probably needs some upgrading, but all in all the stay was comfortable , quiet & relaxing, so we had no real complaints.
Would have liked the BBQ to have been made available but managed with the microwave.
The weather ... but that had nothing to do with the motel.
That I could not connect to the internet using the given code for WI FI even though I paid the $5.00 fee. It was my choice not to bother following up on the reason.

The rooms are quite small
The mattresses are very soft & uncomfortable.
very small room, and felt uncomfortable having a "staff" door into the room that could accessed at any time - that could not be locked from the inside.
Noisy. Car parks directly outside room. When cars start (8 or 9 in morning) its very noisy.
Pillows were like cardboard.

Walls were thin we could hear the men in the rooms on either side of us coughing, spluttering and/or snoring.

The air con was fixed at a temperature and you didn't have controls for it. The vent blew down on one of the beds making it impossible to have it on .

* No worning to gests about thin walls, so everything can be herd from many rooms away.

Our room looked like a hospital room, there was no room to move and was
not at all like was advertised on the website. We stayed one night out
of the 7 we had booked. We moved on to another place.
