Clean, comfortable, large accommodation, it was great to unpack and cook your own meals if you want to. A nice easy pretty walk into town, bikes available for free use. The owners were just the friendliest, loveliest people we have met, maybe because they are New Zealanders!!. The owner Jim was very obliging and helpful. He gave good advice, booked tours for us and is a great laugh. We really enjoyed the pool and being so close to the beach. The room was very comfortable, equipped with everything you might need. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed the use of the bicycles to explore the town. An excellent experience. The location was ideal for Port Douglas and Daintree, Penny and Jim were pleasant and helpful hosts and the rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Absolutely nothing to complain about. We really enjoyed our stay at Port Douglas Lazy Lizard. The owners were a blast from the past. We worked with Jim and his wife over 40 years ago and he is an excellent host. Was great we could heat food in the microwave,very clean and comfortable. We love this place, and have been there several times. And will return on our. Next trip up this way. The staff and the owner were extremely friendly and very helpful. Immediately on our arrival (without my asking) they marked on the map places to see and the best restaurants. Jill & Jim were very helpful in recommending the best activities to make the most of the time I had. Very nice comfortable room. Great stay while in Port Douglas. Couldn't ask for better hosts. It's a 'Motor Inn' ... best access is by (rental) car. Everything was perfect. Not was close to the beach as I thought it was from the description. No views, pool rather small. having to leave. A little dark inside, not a lot of outdoor space. Nothing. Somewhat overpriced versus other local deals on offer in an out of season period.
