The reception staff were the best - our stay in Melbourne was a combination of I guess business and leisure - my adult daughter was in a competition/festival and I went along to support her and enjoy myself - in particular Adrian and Paul at reception were like parents/friends and couldn't do enough to help - I saw their manner with everyone who came in - professional but friendly, knowledgeable, competent and just generally lovely people who are extremely good at their job. all reviews » My son goes to boarding school in Melbourne. This has become my second home when I visit Melbourne. Paul and Adrian are friendly and helpful at the reception desk. The train station is right next door. Excellent location for going to the city or shopping in Chapel Street or Praham. The front office staff were probably one of the best I have experienced when travelling. They were helpful and informative and their customer service was fantastic. I can't say enough about Adrian and his team. Will definitely return next year and highly recomment. I loved having my own apartment with own laundry, bedroom and having family close by in their 2 bedroom apartment, with own bathrooms. Grandchildren thought the view was great. Staff very welcoming and very obliging. Also apartments serviced everyday. Thanks heaps. A fabulous destination from which to explore South Yarra's great shopping district. Close to CBD by tram. The location, right next to the South Yara rail station and just a few minutes walk to the shops, etc., was ideal and just 3 rail stops to the rugby ground for the Lions test. The twin bed in the second room is really small. The website should indicate that these beds are for kids of teenagers. The beds were very uncomfortable. Wasn't that clean, fans didn't work in bathrooms. loved it all. that several times our 'key' would not work in the elevator. Nothing. All was good. Bedrooms a little on the small side. a bit noisy due to the train. Keys cards often didnt work which was frustrating. Sometimes cleaners are not so good, for example, one leave rubbish bin bag on the kitchen top, another time take away my own head wrap with the towels. nothing - all good. the pressure of the shower needs to be improved. Rooms are very small In summer, the single aircon in the lounge is useless No ventilation in bathrooms Minimal cupboard space Lounge furnishings are sparse Apartment has no character. There were no options for room service except breakfast from a café below. No options to purchase movies or even a movie channel. Large laundry bags were in our hallway for 24 hours. Our room was overlooking a huge commercial building site so really noisy and as we were staying for 4 nights thought we would have been offered something on any of the other sides of the building. Not functional. Nowhere to hang towels. Beds uncomfortable. Dirty stained blankets. Nowhere to put toiletries. Too much focus on decor compromising practicality. Dirty towel from previous guests behind bathroom door. Carpet dirty.
