We stayed at Plum Southbank for one night prior to an over seas trip. It was a convenient location to the Restaurant Tram which we can recommend and easy access back to the airport. The apartment was spacious with a well equipped kitchen and lounge area with a small balcony. Staff where very friendly and helpful and the price for apartment was very good. We will stay at the Plum Apartments on our next visit to Melbourne and recommend it.all reviews
Enjoyed the stay. Would highly recommend if anyone was interested in the
f1. Handy to walk into and around the city. Public transport excellent
but comfortably covered a lot on foot. We were placed in the apartments
next door to The Plum - was still the same management. Room was
spotless, excellent facilities and we had a fantastic 270 degree view of
the city scape - magic at night.
We enjoyed our stay in Plum Serviced Apartment . We stayed for 5 night. The Building is located to the centre of the city close to the crown casino, Dfo shopping centre & Supermarket. I love the place, the building especially the city view. The staff are friendly, They checked and change the towel everyday. They collected the bin as well and also our linen.
our 2 bedroom unit was very well furnished, on a high floor with a lovely view of the city and the sea. Proximity to the city centre. Walking distance to Flinders station. Modern amenities- microwave, washer dryer, LCD tv, quiet, cool comfortable modern! Helpful and friendly staff.
Great location. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was spacious and well laid out with all mod cons. The day we arrived a new patisserie opened a few doors down which we spent a lot of time at - the food YUM.. All in all very comfortable and happy at Plum Apartments.
The beds are great (I don't sleep well in strange beds). The apartment is very accommodating - kitchen facilities etc. The location great. Driving up into that carpark very harrowing - I couldn't do it. Hubby had to. Way too narrow.
A good location about 10 minutes walk from the edge of the city centre. Inevitably there's city noise but triple glazing in the apartment kept the noise level at bay. Helpful free bag drop for early arrivals / late departures.
The location to the City, just a few blocks walk to a choice of pub's restaurants etc.The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable, with a fully functional kitchen and laundry in the 2 bedroom appartment we stayed in.
I liked the room it was spacious clean and the separate bedrooms were a wonderful plus. The fact we could walk from the motel to the town in 10 mins was great too. Loved the balcony and the views. Excellent !.
Apartment was much bigger, more open then we expected for the price and its location.
Close to convention center (purpose of trip was conference).
Close enough to walk into city center if weather is fine.
The appartments were easy to find, on arrival the concierge were very helpful with a lot oof local knowledge. The appartment was spacious, modern, clean, warm, quiet and every thing we needed was there.
The location was good and the ease of access, lifts, and security It was Basic but met all needs and good value for the money. The staff were super helpful couldn't say more on them as you employ well.
i was first put in the apartments next door and that was very noisy
the staff on saturday morning was very helpful and i moved into the Plum apt where there is double glazing and it was far better.
Apartment style with all the associated facilities in the room very handy, spacious and modern bathroom, very comfortable bed, great proximity to all city sites and transport for further afield.
clean, comfortable, quiet, fully equipped apartments. Laundry in apartment is a bonus. Easy walking distance to city, supermarket and Conference centre. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The gentleman who checked us in was extremely helpful, going that extra
mile to help us park two large cars in a horrendously designed car park.
Close to Southbank attractions and markets.
Great location - close to South Melbourne markets and some awesome cafe's. Short walk to Southbank promenade.
Balcony - great view of the city.
Clean, comfortable and modern facilities.
My experience at the Plum Serviced Apartments was friendly, helpful and the position of the apartments is excellent and I Would have no hesitation in recommending it to all my friends.
The view from the apartment,
location,clean,3 toilets
Early check-in for my son, late check-out and being able
to leave our bags at reception before being picked up for airport.
It was very convenient in many ways and to the areas I needed to access. Central without being in the CBD and a short walk to the CBD and other interests.
This was the 2nd time I've stayed there it's definitely worth paying the extra for the city view.
Spacious, relaxing, cheap and the perfect location :).
Although one male staff member was less than attentive at check-in other
staff were helpful and friendly. Great location central to city and
transport.
The staff were professional, pleasant and friendly, very helpful. The location of the units was fabulous and made moving around Melbourne very easy.
the fact that the staff were friendly and assisted us with the requests me made. we enjoyed our stay and will stay in one of the appartments again.
The whole apartment was nice plus the location. Told the lovely lady that was at the desk when checking out that i would see them again soon.
Location - close to crown casino and the city
Cheap Parking
The apartment has everything you need ie Washing machine, dryer, dish washer etc.
Great location within easy walking distance to South Wharf and Southbank. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great value for money. We attended a live show in Melbourne and the central location was great. Staff were very helpful and accomodating.
Excellent location, best part of the city to access both South Melbs restauarants ( non touristy) and Southbank/City ..( tourist mecca).
view was fabulous
the unit was very comfortable
location was terrific in terms of being very easy to walk to southgate/restaurants etc.
my room allocated in hotel next door which was much more modern than the actual plum apartments building
very roomy & comfortable.
It was all great thanks. Loved the location and our view! Apartment had everything we needed for a short stay but would stay longer.
Location and the view was outstanding. Over all they were pretty quiet
except for guest noise which we realise you cannot control.
Excellent facilities with full laundry and kitchen and loved the added touch of complimentary tea, coffee, milk, toiletries etc.
handy for tram into city.
near South of Yarra attractions.
spacious accommodation.
v good laundry facilities.
helpful staff.
Location - excellent for convention centre and southbank. nice eateries up the street on clarendon street. good tram access.
Location, set up of the room. I didn't realise it had kitchen facilities etc. Was perfect for a little weekend work trip.
We loved everything about it. It was clean, elegant and comfortable and the staff were great. Excellent value for money.

Price fantastic, roomy, stylish, comfortable, well equipped kitchen, quiet, great view. Staff friendly and helpful.
The location of the place was fantastic and it was very affordable. It had a great feel as soon as we walked in.
Fully equipped apartment (feels like at home) + helpful receptionist 24/7 (like in hotel). Perfect combination.
Close to Convention Centre,
great price,
modern,
well-appointed,
clean,
incredible city view from 37th floor.
Did what it said on the tin, central, clean, well equipped apartments and great value - staff were excellent.
We loved the location and the view of the city. The apartment is modern, comfortable, cosy and well equipped.
*Great location
*Fantastic Service
*Apartment was large and well set out
*Best stay I have had in Melbourne.
beds were comfortable, loved having tea & coffee facilities
Close to all facilities along the Yarra .
Nothing all good.
Booked into the Plum Serviced Apartments but were placed next door into
'The Bank' not so serviced apartments. Still it gave us our
privacy. Would have preferred a King Size bed but no big deal. I
probably didn't order one !!.
Just few issues like parking was really tight. They need to clean the glass on the balcony. The door that connected to the toilet was broken. We have to fix it ourself but other than that it was good.
Parking is charged, but a sort tight squeeze approach to the parking lot, though manageable.
Just a small thing we found a little odd. We were in room 1111 and the main bedroom had a glass door with not blind, curtain or any screening so there was no privacy.
I have left a feedback with Plum re the fact that my husband was stuck in the lift for 15 min which broke down. A little concerning as he does have a weak bladder and also we had a dinner appointment and ended up being about 40 mins late. So not happy about that. Also there were no small or medium saucepans, compared to the last apartment we stayed in in December. And the smaller frypan should be tossed out - way too old and useless.
Look out for the scam on non-Australian debit cards - they treat them as credit cards and the only way to avoid 1.5% extra on your bill is to have cash ready.
The car park is a nightmare and not for the faint hearted,we had to reverse back down the ramp ,even though we had a green light, there was another car coming down.
There was not much I didn't like.
There needs to be a ramp up to the lifts to pull suitcases up.
I specifically asked for Wifi and it was not available. I believe that should be absolutely available or a check list on the booking. I would not stay again unless wifi available as these days most of us use services for work related purposes so need that as essential as a shower or bed.
No towel rail (heated or otherwise) in the bathroom so had to use the drier for the towels as there is no servicing on public holiday weekends. Not such a hassle but felt I had to mention it. Also there was a baseball sized hole in the wall which showed no sign of repair attempts, again, not a problem, but it just let down the otherwise immaculate setting of the apartment.
Nothing. We've stayed with you regularly and will continue to do so.
The car park.
Nothing.
The apartment had a stale smell, suggest cleaning the carpet and airing it out. There was a noise every so often...couldn't pick where it was coming from, maybe the air con. Other than that all good.
It was all very good.
Shower screen door missing, mould in shower cubicle and dirty oven
detracted from otherwise nice apartment.
The parking area!.
that there was no ramp for suit cases.
1 side of the king bed was slanting a bit and was a little annoyed , but didn't bother us enough to complain about it.
Bed - king bed was made up by two singles pushed together
Apartment - Its a little worn down in some areas
Staff - rang up to enquire about parking and was spoken by a very rude lady. It was almost like she didn't have time to speak to me.
The shower doors - one bathroom only had half a door panel so it felt like the shower was going to make quite a mess on the floor.
parking was very difficult - getting up the ramp was a tad nerve racking.
city centre quite q walk away
not an area I would feel safe walking at night
lots of other hotels to choose from.
The car park!!!.
That the apartments were advertised as serviced - however, Saturday
and Sunday they were not serviced - When I asked I was simply told
that I had signed that I knew this when I arrived. This was not so, I
did not read the whole statement when I arrived at 12.30am (2.30am nz
time) I simply wanted to sleep. I was given a fresh towel, and we
bought coffee - but overall was disappointed that you advertise, what
you do not deliver.
Cleanliness of the room wasn't very good, particularly the bathroom.
not enough staff available at check in.
Dirty/unclean walls carpet. Bathroom and sheets etc were clean, just felt a little unsure sitting on the lounge about its cleanliness.
Parking was a bit difficult. Glad we only have a small car otherwise would have had trouble getting up the ramp and it would be better if you could have had a front entrance to the car parking facilities.
The bed was a little uncomfortable.
nothing really.
No light over bathroom mirror for putting on makeup or in shower for shaving. That is all.
Lack of Wi-Fi Internet (only cabled).
Be careful with your car if you use the car park - it is very tight and not easy to manoeuvre in.
The housekeeping attendant should pay more attention to detail. On the day of our arrival there were coffee cup rings on the table. There were previous guests' hair in the corners of the bathroom floor and in the tub. The second day a dust bin was left on the bench top in the kitchen. We found lose pills and a pretzel under the bed. No bed linen was provided for the cot, apart from a small blanket.
Water pressure was a little low in the shower.
