The Blackman hotel is a top quality hotel with excellent facilities and staff. Food is a treat with a genuine French and Italian flavour served expertly by waiters from these countries, giving the hotel a very European flair! The hotel is close to public transport into the city. As an art lover of Blackman's work it was an inspiring experience to stay in a hotel which featured his work..particularly the doors to the bathrooms. Thank you for a wonderful experience!.

We borrowed 2 hotel bicycles to cycle around Albert Park. Deluxe King Suite is stylishly decorated & well laid out, comfy bed and everything you need. Quick check-in, check-out and good service at the cafe downstairs too. Good jogging circuit in Fawkner Park too. Absolutely Fabulous! The hotel feels more like a work of art,certainly not clinical. The staff were so friendly, yet genuine. Mark at reception certainly excels in customer service, so congratulations on making our stay so enjoyable and comfortable. the ambiance was lovely! Mitch at the front desk was great....very very helpful and went out of his way ...a great employee......you are very lucky to have staff of this calibre!!!!. easily accessible and superbly conveniently located. Good restaurant and parking facilities. The decor is stunning and very functional too,. Nice big comfy bed and good relaxing area. Downstairs dining was very good. Being able to park in the street at weekend was vey handy. Room size and comfort, facilities, professional friendly staff. Different, not quirky, but interesting approach which we like. I like this hotel a lot its easy to get to, convenient to so many things to see and do and the rooms are nice. Loved the quirky Alice in Wonderland themes. Large room and added extras Great french bakery cafe in lobby. The Decor, the trendy interior, comfortable bed and modern functional kitchenette. The room was delightful, art work amazing total experience really enjoyable. I liked the design and the furnish of the room. It was impressive. Only short distance to Melbourne CBD and St Kilda on tram line. Excellent service 5 star Bed and pillows comfy. balcony art-work room design. Bathroom lighting was a little dim especially over the basin area. Maybe a shelf to put personal items, basin was just too small. The entire floor was very slippery after a shower , we were fine .I could see it becoming a potential hazard for the elderly or young children. sorry as a nurse i see these sort of accidents all the time. other than that everything was great. 1.5% surcharge on credit cards, 3.5% on Amex - I hate these - unless you happen to carry round $500 for this and $500 for that then it's not an optional charge. The only negative would be where the couch was positioned in relation to the TV. However, I did not go to Melbourne to watch the television!. nothing. Bathroom far too small. TV difficult to position. Bunkers sparkling wine was too exspensive for a wine that tasted like a $10 cheap wine. Get some Yarra Burn sparkling. St Kilda Rd address is misleading. Only an issue the first time. The way they serve your food for room service uncovered from the kitchen to your room ( not good ). The location was a bit business park like. We booked the room with balcony but when we arrived, the room had no balcony. So I called the staff, and she kindly answered and immediately changed the room for us. No shelving in bathroom, shower needed a screen as the whole floor gets wet, lighting was dull. Nothing was wrong Everything was good. room service menu. the address is really confusing and it upset us whe trying to find the hotel late at night.
