The setting was great, shame about the weather. The dinner in the dining room on Saturday evening was exceptional. The food and service was outstanding even with 3 large separate parties. The setting, the area close to the open fire. The Buffet Breakfast. The cafe as a place to enjoy a coffee . The pool area The view from the room lovely. The service was good. Overall, good value for money also. A relaxing place to stay.

We were given a disabled room, which meant it was not a pleasant shower for us. The stairs to enter the spa are not stable and there are some tiles near the entrance which are broken. The stairs could be a safety issue. The gym sound system screens showing soaps not appropriate.music would be much better. The sports area quite run down. The tiles in the bathroom dirty. Room not warm enough. There were very limited car parking spaces which meant that we had to park by the side of the driveway along with many other people. Concierge didn't seem to know how (or want) to respond to my question about golf (receptionist did an excellent job, however). Pool area allowed no drinks and to get to spa you had to go through gates and doors. So busy hard to get any service Father's Day weekend - just not enough staff at reception - lined up for so long just to check out. Food & beverage needs a lot of improvements at all levels. Breakfast too expensive Pool area needs work. Outrageous wi-fi cost. staff. I felt it was little cold - no real warmth in the place, I was there many years ago when it was peppers much better layout, it felt like it needed some TLC. also I was sitting near the tv area on Friday night with my son and not one staff person asked us if I wanted a drink i had to go down to the bar area/restaurant area, didnt like that there was no service, unless you asked for it. The play room for under 4s was closed on a very busy weekend. And the restaurants are quite small comparing the size of the hotel. The way my check in at reception was handled, lack of staff knowledge and willingness to assist with details about the resort, tv that was difficult to operate, shower head that was faulty, poor mobile coverage, many wrong number calls to the telephone in my room very early in the morning. lack of parking location is removed, need a car poor room service, charged $4 for a bowl and spoon not value for money average food. internet extra hotel looks much older than it is and has a shabby history but is recovering check in staff could be improved a lot. Older facilities that need a refurb Facilities too large and not looked after enough Not enough staff, left waiting around a lot. Restaurant fair. Not much choice for dinner. No decent restaurant on a Sunday Night. Only bar food. Place needs the promised $10m refurbishment. Tv reception very poor quality. Air conditioning did not work and it was zero degrees outside. It could not be fixed and we were offered a heater-not a change of rooms Room service dirty plates were still outside rooms for about 20 hours. Food and beverage facilities were very expensive and not kid friendly. Wet carpet, no fly screen on door to patio, air con not cooling the room.
