What people say
Fantastic location in the rain-forest. I personally love the Daintree area, and the Lync Haven Retreat offers exactly what you need, a convenient and comfy room in the middle of the Daintree National Park. We had a big and clean cabin in front of the Kangaroos garden (where we could feed them the morning after), and had a lovely (and tasty) dinner at the Retreat's restaurant. After all a perfect night in the rainforest! Good value for money, perfect location 5 minutes after the ice-cream compan. all reviews »
The location of the chalet was fantastic, there were walks into the rainforest a few yards from our door, with rescued kangaroos in a compound at the back. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful and enthusiastic.
An excellent room in the rainforest, exactly what we were looking for. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, the room clean and comfortable. Rainforest walks and plenty of wildlife. We had a wonderful stay.
I liked the animal and bird contact. The owner gave a commentary on crocodiles and allowed us to feed the animals. The food was reasonable also.
Friendly staff. Budget accommodation. Kangaroos at our back door. Proximity to Cape Tribulation.
superb location in the Daintree rain forest. Excellent restaurant. Very nice hosts.
Loved the location, very friendly staff, had an enjoyable meal under the stars.
Location, walking trails, wildlife talks, food.
Food was excellent, staff very friendly.
As below.
The absence of a small cooking corner in the cabin. On the other hand one can use the camping kitchen, but it is a bit far from the cabins.
Food very expensive and not many other options in the area. Meals for 48 hours cost way more than the 2 nights' accommodation for four.
Found it odd to be provided with a toaster and electric jug but no crockery or utensils. When asked for these were provided but there was only the bathroom basin to wash them in and no detergent or tea towel.
Better designed room layout.
