Views were excellent. Apartment was a good size with large balcony. Daily cleaning best standard we have experienced. New carpet. Two TVs (one in bedroom) appreciated. Location quiet, yet close to everything. Lobby, coffee shop and restaurant each a cool, peaceful refuge from the heat. King bed(2singles) comfortable, so slept well. Separate controls for air con in living and bedroom. Our 1 bedroom apartment had very generous proportions. The location was perfect - a very pretty area, lovely view over the harbour and easy walking distance to shops, supermarkets, wharf precinct. There was a good travel shop with great staff in the foyer which made it very easy to arrange excursion and get information about what to do and how to get around.

We have stayed with you four time s and will come back. sorry had to cancel of July trip - wife Molly back in hospital fir another two weeks. Not sure who but our booking was detailed as 2014. They upgraded us free of charge to a appartment. So was fantastic value for us. I checked our details and it was NOT our mistake. One very happy oldies x. Staff were amazing,friendly and so helpful,was stood in lobby waiting for a pick up for just 5 minutes and three staff asked if I would like a glass of water,little things like that make an impression. The pool was inviting and the view of the esplanade was amazing. Close to restaurants and the fish feeding for the kids, and a big park area for them to run around. Friendly staff and great service. Very convenient for a longer stay, because of separate bedroom, kitchen, laundry etc... short distance to shops and business etc.. The beds were comfortable, the staff were accommodating, and the position was perfect for us. Everything we needed was available. It's closeness to both the park in front of the hotel and the nearness of Mitchell Street and Coles at the rear. We liked the convenience of just everything being so close by. The Hotel certainly lived up to our expectations. Great location if you need to be near the city. Staff are very polite and helpful. Room was well set up. I liked the large bed , large TV, facilities including coffee shop and the central location in Darwin. out the back door and you're practically on Mitchell st...great if you're enjoying Darwins nightlife. Tended to be a bit old. I can remember when a member of the Military clean-up party after Tracey, that a small aircraft was stuck onto the side of your property! quite a sight. Bathroom needed an up date was dated, tub and shower not very modern and did not suit the style of the hotel,balcony was backbacker standard,rotten wood bench. We were on the 7th floor city view end and it was still quite noisy with the nightclub and backpackers virtually next door. I can not think of anything that we didn't like. I have some problems with knees and hips, and I found the seating was often too low - this couldn't be helped, and I don't know if they had any solution because I didn't ask. The fact that wifi is not offered free to guests. Most motels in NZ make it available. A North Island town, Carterton, has its main street free!. The air con in room 720 was very noisy in the bedroom. This needs to be rectified. I wanted a balcony I found it very stuffy and I used to live in Darwin and I don't like to sleep with air con on. and I could not even open the window I was disappointed I could not sit outside and have a wine, when I booked I thought I was getting a balcony. Would have been nice to have the Pool light up in the evening. Nothing. My hangover in the morning. Nothing. Had to wait over 2 hours for room after travelling from Victoria throughout the night. Room had smoke butts and ash on the veranda. Lack of variety for cooked Breakfast Every day was the Same, same eggs, same bacon, same beans, same Hash Browns Could haver been spiced up by Poaching or Frying the eggs. English as second language causes some difficulties for a lot of the staff. we lost a shoulder bag at the hotel and rang back to see if it was there. Room searched by staff etc and the rang us back failed to locate. Then further phone ten minutes later to say they had it at the front desk all the time. Perhaps better communication between the staff might solve a similar problem. Apart from this friendly clean. Recommend hotel to others. Noisy ineffective fan in bathroom. No early checkin even though we arrived at 6 am and were told we would be given a priority checkin as soon as a room was available. Poor communication between staff.. Bar closed before 10pm on a weekday. Furniture was a bit worn and 'old'. Paying for a car park. I complained twice that the remote on the TV did not work and in 3 days nobody did anything. late night noise from street. Didn't like the fact that they could not open a window due to a lost key. Was not informed of any result until I asked the staff. No endeavour was made to replace the key to make our room more comfortable to stay in. We requested laundry to be done. It came back no cleaner than when we'd sent it unfortunately. Possibly due to being washed in cold water which was never going to be any good as we'd been camping for 9 days. This was the only disappointing thing about the hotel. Room Maintenance lacking with numerous issues that needed attention and not rectified when advised.Dirty room. The fact that there was only one comfortable chair and no coffee table in a well sized room. foyer tired, couch in apartment needed recovering, 312, it smelt up close...appalling wifi service, overpriced and almost useless, old computers for use in foyer had sticking keys and were very slow...paid $60 for five days of internet access but received very little value for money...hotel expensive at $369 per night. Virtually no hot water - lukewarm at best! Decor very very tired!. Not a freindly welcome, room serivce food was cold both times I had it. Nattres in the beds whrere very uncunfortable. Pool was nice but very few lounges and no service. TV reception for very expensive movies was appaling. Staff unable to speak clear english. Bathroom tiles had mould on the grouting and on silastic on glass shower pane. Room needed painting as areas had been patch painted and could be seen on the walls and ceiling. Exorbitant prices for mini bar drinks and food (higher than 5 star resorts I have stayed in across Australia and other parts of the world. I can't accept no Housekeeping Service during Easter Holidays!.
