Location is great. Walk past the restaurant to a terrific beach, good for kids at the south end, surf fishing at the north. Ambience amongst nature is sensational and the layout beautiful. We had a spa room and enjoyed that under the glass ceiling at night very much. Heaps to waste your time with and a sensational child friendly pool complex. Not so much for toddlers I think. Already spoken to family and we will return!! Try the coastal walk at the south end of the beach, it leads to a long sur.
all reviews » Very helpful staff. The location with access to the beach was a great surprise and we loved sitting in the garden bar with beach views. The whole set up with rainforesty walks to get around made for a really great atmosphere/ambiance. The meal we had on site was excellent. Would definitely go back. Accommodation is in units set in semi tropical woodland with pathways leading directly onto the beach. The location is stunningly beautiful. The room we stayed in was spacious and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and had a lovely meal with views of the bay. Great location on Digger's Beach. Great facilities and comfortable. Good breakfast. Bathroom and Spa bath was brill with open glass roof. Nice and quiet while we were here but was just out of main season. The resort was well presented, great location. We were pleasantly surprised after having read many negative reviews. Our villa was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was a generous size and the bathroom was well done. I loved the resort completely with the exception of two things. No room cleaning and a musty smell. The unit was lovely and clean, if you didnt like the beautiful pools you could go down to the beach! Very peaceful location. Two bedroom villa was comfortable and facilities were good . Meal we had in the eestuarant and staff were very good. Remote from the busy town and other resorts. Great view and access to beach. Relaxing and attractive pool area. Facilities for children. Our daughter brought the grandchildren to see us and the 18 month old didn't get bored. location was excellent for our road trip from Sydney to Brisbane, with service to complement the surroundings. There was an additional charge for wifi. Room was set in amongst trees and vegetation that made the room very dark and had to use lights all of the time. Heating was inadequate in our two bedroom spa villa. Both air conditioners in the bedrooms didn't work on the heat selections despite there being the option on the remote control. There was no instructions to refer, to or information to say the air conditioners only worked on the cool settings. There was an absence of room cleaning, we didn't stay enough nights to get our room cleaned. There was also a musty smell in the apartment, had these issues been resolved, the hotel would have got 10 out of 10. Villas covered in shade and felt a bit damp and mouldy. Complex feels a bit dated, but priced right. very little!. Having to leave at the end of our time. there was no television in the bedroom so we could relax and watch a movie before bed. no tv in bedrooms not being able to reserve surf boards should not be offered window seating in restaurant by bar staff if this is not general policy. Brown water from the hot water system - it looked really bad in the spa bath... of course the upside was... we had a spa bath! Seriously aging facilities, tape player, the dvd player.. but generally things worked well enough. Nothing to mention !. Liked it all. Studio room overpriced. For the price you paid there was no service if you needed a towel etc you had to go to reception and that could be a long way also they did not offer the golf buggy to freely even when booking in. very big resort and takes a while to get from room to reception. A long way to teh centre of town. We were asked if we had any requests and i made one and it wasnt done. liked it all. Some of the furniture was old and out-dated, the toaster shorted out the power which are minor problems but the main thing I did not like, their was a used condom outside our villa in the garden which my kids saw. The bed was too hard. As a solo business traveller I would have preferred to be located next to similar type travelers rather than what I got which was a group of noisy occupants that were banging on my door and waking me up at 3am. Not good!. Spas were not heated on one of our days. Was told we would have a room near pool, but it wasn't. Carpark 5 was not secure as fence was broken. Nothing comes to mind. The tennis rackets were terrible, the décor in the bathroom was a little dated. part of resort closed. no bar open for pre dinner drinks. having to return to the real world outside again. Be careful with the water dragons, they can jump on you!. The rib steak was not that good for dinner, the eye fillet was lovely. Rooms needing some renovation, not enough kitchen utensils eg pots with lids & other thing. Very dark on ground floor because of all greenery (which was nice) made rooms dark. Having to leave. No champagne glasses in the room. Visually outside roof over spa looking tired!. Nothing. The heated pool needs renovating. Nothing at all to complain about. not enough seats around pool area. Ok lack of smiling staff. expensive. Reception was serving us and answered the phone stayed on the phone and dealt with the call leaving us to just wait at least 10 minutes. Room 92 taps kept dripping that is my only negative thing I would say.
