The staff were friendly and efficicient . The resort was clean and well maintained . The room was well equiped and delightful . We enjoyed a swim each day and a game of table tennis . The location is excellent being on the outskirts of Busselton but still close to all attractions. The facilities and standard of hotel far exceeded our expectations. We decided spur of the moment to head to Busselton for a break and found the Sebel not knowing anything about the place by booking online. Turned out to be a quality experience.
all reviews » Facilities were excellent - squash courts, tennis courts, indoor and out door pools. The gymnasium was the best equipped that I had used at a motel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and assitance; when needed was second to none. The friendly, helpful staff ; the Attractive room room and very comfortable bed and particularly the big, user friendly bathroom. Thank heavens for the shower recess. Mature people HATE climbing into a bath to have a shower. our spa bath on first nite was tripped out at 8pm we rang reception and within half hour the repair guy had it going!! very nice guy to. the 3 days we were there we enjoyed the whole accom experience. YES we will be back!!. The décor was very modern & immaculate. Huge bathroom (with full bath). Being a studio there was a generous balcony overlooking the tennis court. Direct access to the beach although a long hike from the studio block. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The facilities were also good with the heated pool and spa being good on a cold day. Great gym equipment, also had a pool and table tennis table. Has a small IGA next door also. Lovely big room (we were in a studio apartment). Convenient beach access. Pools and tennis courts looked good, but we didn't make us of them since we were more there to tour Margaret River region. The Reception staff were all very friendly, helpful and proffessional. The cleaners were also very friendly. The room was very clean. Will stay at the Grand Mecure again for sure. Thank you! :). Besides the unfortunate weather we still had a great time at the hotel. Rooms were fabulous as they had recently been renovated, staff were great and overall was very enjoyable. It was fantastic for young and old with pools indoor and out, fun rooms, beach at your back door, shop next door and a restaurant and playground also near by! Perfect!. I love almost everything about the hotel.The room was spacious and clean.I love the laundary and kitchen facilities as well.Towels were change daily which was nice. Fantastic modern facilities and decor. Great size two bedroom apartment for small family. Family friendly pool area & good location with access to the beach. Beautifully located off the beachfront, its the small details that make this stay a relaxing and more than enjoyable destination for young couples and families. Facilities were clean and Studio room well laid out and spacious. Didn't check out the pool etc so can't comment on that. The comfort of a clean hotel room :-). Nice comfortable rooms and peaceful. One staff member in particular was really poor in customer service. They didn't know what to do half the time at the front desk, and wasn't polite or kind. The only disappointment of the whole stay. Being on the bottom level of a two story block; we heard all chair movements of the top floor. This was very disruptive particulary during night time when trying to sleep. The games room included machines that did not work - although no fault of Mercure - i suspect young children were forcing money or objects in them. Pool cues were blunt. Just a suggestion: As each unit is allocated one car space, it would be easy to mark each space with the unit no. Coming back late one night, we had to drive around looking for a vacant spot. Other than an expensive restaurant next door, there were no other eateries which did not require a car, so the poor self catering facilities in the studio were a real inconvenience. If you didn't have a car you would be stuck. It's a fair ways out of the main "CBD" area of Busselton. So this place is not for you if you're wanting to walk to restaurants, shops, etc. I think you guys need new toasters.. One two different occasions trying to cook toast, the smoke alarms went off twice. Good note, the smoke alarms work :) I also didn't like the parking. There were not enough car parks, for the amount of rooms. Which was rather annoying. But I'm just being super picky really.. :). Beds could be comfier. Perhaps can vacuum the room a well on daily basis. parking arrangement. Having to leave to go home. Thought it was expensive for families. The stove was difficult to work. The only one thing is that I thought I had paid by this site, letsbookhotel.com however I had to pay when I arrived at the apartment which I thought had been done when I was given the price of stay and I gave my credit card details. The shower was a disappointment as the water flow wasn't that good. Nothing. The TV was faulty and the DVD player was hard to reach (on the floor virtually) and there was no indication of how to set it going. No restaurant/cafe on site. Shower didn't work the first night but they came and fixed it. Car parking should be allocated to rooms as people had boats taking up bays etc. Bathroom - Toilet did not flush properly (too little water) and shower leeked. No cooking facilities (not that we wanted to) when called self contained. Spa villas are on the main road, no views Bed needed a top sheet not just a sheet over the doona. Front gate small Carpark very dark at night Tiles in bathroom very dated No internet. at night there was a lot of noise that I think was related to a hot water system that came on every 5-10 mins for 1-2 mins. clock radio very dusty. TV in lounge room could be bigger as well as the one in the loft for the kids. Only downside was our mini bar fridge although looked very clean, had a very bad stench to it which resulted in us not being able to use it. Once i told reception about the problem they were on to it straight away. Our room was 'serviced' in that the towels were changed and the toilet paper folded. However, the bed was poorly made (bottom sheet not straightened), nor was it vacuumed all the 8 days we were there. Our room was like a prison cell. No good light and the view looked at a brick wall. When the website clearly stated all rooms have a balcony. Plus we were more outside the resort than in it. Room 81. it was just great, maybe a little bit more cleaning in the cottage. Outdoor pool was not very clean. People in the car park of the complex that were staying there fixing their cars & reving the motors outside of our room. The noise & fumes were not pleasant & they had no curtisy for other people staying there trying to relax!.

From the airport, turn left onto the Great Eastern Hwy. Turn right onto Causeway and cross the bridge. Follow Riverside Drv. Turn left onto the Kwinana Freeway. Continue along Safety Bay Rd. Turn left onto Ennis Av. Continue south following signs to Bunbury. Turn left onto the Bunbury Bypass, left onto the Bussell Hwy then right at the Busselton roundabout. Turn left (still Bussell Hwy) at traffic lights. The Resort (553 Bussell Hwy) is 6 km along on the right just past the Broadwater Shopping Centre.
