We were staying at the Travelodge because we were paticipating in a National Karate Tournament taking place in Blacktown, all day/night Saturday The interconnecting rooms were so convenient for us as a family. We had driven 5 hrs and needed sleep. The beds were comfortable as well. A real hit was the buffet available at the Workers Club. After a gruelling day at the Tournament our tired bodies appreciated not having to drive to eat. The easy access via the Travelodge was most appreciated.
all reviews » Staff were very helpful and friendly. Good price, clelan and comfortable room. Guest laundry was available. Location beside the Workers Club and McDonalds was most convenient. Breakfast was good for the special price of $12, but I would not have paid full price of $19 for the same breakfast. Will stay there again. Club next door for dinner was fantastic The male staff member that was on offered to help me take bag up the second time as I explained I had an injury, the first staff member who served me was not very friendly at all. The staff member who checked me out in the morning was lovely. comfy bed, room a good size. the staff member was very helpful as we turned up at midday for our room, as we had a wedding to go to at 2 o,clock. our room was not ready, so the staff member gave us another room.much appreciated. It was very conveniently located to the Eastern Creek Raceway which is where our son was competing in the Schools State Cross Country Race. The buffet breakfast was very much appreciated. Room and convenience of location Especially liked the breakfast we had an hour prior to breakfast finishing but found the food still hot and plentiful. As it's attached to the Workers Club made it very easy and convenient for us to feed and rehydrate ourselves and no need for anyone to have to drive. Close to club for nice cheap easy meals ie all you can eat buffet ri ght next door, Macdonalds right next door very convenient. The price was excellent for one night affordable and also of very goof quality and very friendly staff would recommend. Clean and tidy. Good location for western suburbs area trips. It was available at the time we needed it. check in late. Nothing. The inconsiderate patrons in rooms around our rooms,126 & 127 throughout Saturday night. We were in need of rest and were woken throughout the night and morning to loud conversations in the passage way and incessant, banging, doors. Either entering or departing their rooms. It spoilt our much needed rest and dampened our spirits. We needed all the sleep we could get because we still had NSW State Team Karate Training for 6 hrs on Sunday. Doors to the rooms closed noisily, which was a nuisance when other guests entered or left their rooms late at night. There were hairs in the shower and basin, had to pay an exorbitant cost for wifi, breakfast very expensive, I went next door to Mc Donalds, key did not work the first time I went up so had to drag bags down again and get key that worked. we like some biscuits in the room when we had a cuppa. No real issues. Nothing at all. I booked rollaway beds that didnt seem to processs. I was quoted price for beds if $40 each. I got there and no extra beds only due to a cancellation we were able to book another room, we would have needed to squeeze 6 adults, 5 teens & 1 adult into 4 single beds so I booked extra room more expensive but not much I could do, was not happy really need to confirm before arrival. Air-con was noisy but we were knacked so it didn't worry us to much. TV remote on/off button didn't work well. Toilet brush and exhaust fan in bathroom would be good. Cushioned dining chairs preferred. Bed was a wee bit hard and there wasn't much of a view haha. nothing. I booked a standard King Room, and was checked into a Standard Single Room. $225 deposit is pretty steep, considering there is not even a mini-bar. Furthermore, the $225 gets put on hold on your credit card instantly, but takes 10-15 business days to reverse. That's ridiculous. Noisy party of guests in communal seating outside area until late at night, drunken swearing, apparently no staff intervention. Ear plugs a must if room on the ground floor!!. Didn't like the fact there was no top sheet on the bed nor hand towels. the noise from the room next door, I could hear all conversations. The workers club didn't have a restaurant. Buffet food is never our choice and the Chinese takeaway place had cheap and nasty food. The rooms are a bit tired and dated, lift as well. Billing, towels too small, waste of soaps and other things as soap used once was changed to new one daily. Towels changed daily. Minimal choice from hot brekkie. No Fresh Milk No Sugar substitue like equal for diabetics. All the noise at 6:30 am. pillows too soft. No pool. Not within walking distance to the railway station. I noticed that a few Chinese Tourists wanted to use the internet and had difficulties. I would recommend that the hotel makes access to the internet for chinese easy. Good signage in chinese script, chinese keyboards, etc. Stains on the floor weren't cleaned properly, bathroom wasn't entirely cleaned (marks and melted soap holder), noise from in the hallway you could hear straight through the door. I didn't like paying a 1% surcharge to pay with a Visa credit card. The staff obviously require further training, as I was booked into someone else's room, while they were there (very embarrasing), and then got questioned for quite some time as to "was I sure that wasn't my room??" The remote for the TV didn't work, but that was rectified. I was then double charged for the room, as the receptionist did not complete the book out procedure properly, which required a further phone call several days later to rectify. There was no lounge in the room which made it very uncomforatable. Breakfast was way too expensive at $19 and the disabled room only had a railing on the right side and my father is paralyzed on the left which meant he could not have a shower. My Kim had to clean him in the bed. Very disappointing,. Getting woken up each morning by the sound of the shower running in the room next door - very noisy, kitchen and bathroom taps both leaked. standard of room facilities, Broken window fittings (unable to open or close windows, refreshment condiments lacking, had to ask for tea and milk not supplied in room, cleaning was barely adequate Rubish bin liner was not replaced. WiFi very expensiv!. Aircon noisy and mot efficient. Noise from other patrons when cliosing their doors disturbed sleep. Smell from kitchen in room early in morning. my father. When we went to bed we found there was only a fitted sheet on the bed plus a doona no top sheet, it didnt feel clean and inviting, outside the room the cleanliness was quiet disgusting, the hallways were unvacuumed and there were spills on tiles outside the lifts and inside the lifts, these were apparent when we first arrived and still there when we left. elevator was horrible. need stairway access. breakfast was average/wasn't fresh fruit salad and need more variety. The bed covers had stains on them, the room was third world. The door handle on our room was broken, we could not access the room without staff using a cleaners key to open the door. No alternate room was given we had to wait for a staff members assistance to access our own room. In house movies where 15.95 to watch. Purchase of movies online are $3, how does that compare. Wifi 11.95 per hour. No receptor number in the room, you had to go down 2 levels to ask a question. Cockroach on the floor of entry to breakfast. Disgusting!! Will never stay again.
