The owners were very helpful and friendly. Although the motel was quite old it was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Apart from the usual jug and tea and coffee making, there was a toaster and microwave which was useful. The bathroom although very small had huge bath sheets and the shower had plenty of hot water. all reviews » I was hesitant to use this Motel as some reviews were bad but decided to judge for myself. I found it to be good value for money. I wasn't expecting 5 star but I did expect it to be clean and comfortable which it was. When I checked in the lady was friendly. I'm happy with what I got for the money spent. It was value for money, clean and cmfortable, if all you wanted was a bed. The staff were excellant, friendly and very welcoming. My door lock jammed, but the manager was very quick to sort out the problem wit out any fuss. Even though I got them out of bed. The staff were very friendly. The room was nice and they even let me order breakfast the next morning which was really nice. Definitely staying there again for our next stay in Ballarat. Recommend to everyone. :). Cheaper accommodation where you get top value for money. Central position in Ballarat, close to Golf club for meals . It was ideal for a one night stop over. Although an aged motel it was clean and comfortable to stay in. This motel is your typical country town motel, comfortable but somewhat out of the centre of town but directly across from the Golf club handy for evening meals. Nothing major maybe the bed was alittle hard. the motel was a long way out of town and i did not have a car, so when i felt like a snack there was nothing to eat and no where near to get supper. there was one or two biskets so that had to do. small size of bathroom and shower entrance, need for some small repairs to internal door catches and fittings. Just needed some high dusting of cobwebs which were dangling in bathroom. Electric blanket on one side didnt appear to work. 1. Too many other residents smoking outside their units. 2. There DEFINITELY needs to be a concrete lip round the shower base to prevent water escaping onto bathroom floor. (Also a safety - slipping - hazard. N/A. Looks like they might be renovating the bathrooms. Our bathroom was older and needed painting, but my mother's room next door had a nice modern bathroom. nothing. The step going into the room. Nothing. The pictures showed there was a bath when there wasn't and its not the easiest place to find and room 6 has a Brocken shower. there are only 3 cable TV stations (all sport),...I like sport but there was no live sport on while I was there so that was pretty useless...there needs to be more cable channels (drama etc) or dont advertise it... The room was a little small but big enough. Some traffic noise could be heard at night. They didn't have the Footy channel on Austar. Paying for it over the net when booking for the room an when we arrive being told the room wasn't paid for so we don't know if we have been double charged we either pay for it on the net or on arrival. Smokers right outside the rooms allowed smoke to pollute other rooms. Smoking should be allowed well away from the rooms. Nothing. cigarette butt bin not emptied, dead potplant,. Loud noise from other customers at 3am (loud talking, music, door wide open) - took too long for owners to do something to quell disturbance. No hair dryer, slightly small fridge. bed was a little firm for my liking. A comfortable arm chair would have been good. Nothing!. I had no battery in the smoke detector. Bit cramped, but everything else was great. Bathroom needs to be upgraded.
