Loved the building, it is in a historic area of North Adelaide as we noticed heaps of markers on houses on our walks. The history if you love late 1800 early 1900 this motel and the surrounding neighbourhood houses is beautiful, we stayed two nights and it was so close to main shops and restaurants, free bus to all tourist sights that stops only a few metres from the Motel. I am a WW2 buff and would have loved to have known more about the history of the hotel. Very quiet area and just the basic.

The hotel is close to Adelaide and has a variety of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel. There is a large park with childrens playground opposite which is ideally suited to families with small children or for those wanting to take a little exercise. I have stayed here before and will definately stay here again. Staff very friendly.. Very helpful with all our requests.. Had to attend a wedding and my shoe broke 30 mins before departure.. Not a problem - one of the staff members fixed it temporarily which enabled me to wear my shoes for a few more hours :) Thank You .. :) Will be definetly staying here again next time we visit Adelaide. Quiet surroundings, easy and walking access to food places, city and small parks. It is in the middle of a very good suburb, walking distance to bus stop, interesting cathedral nearby and relaxed atmosphere. Staff helpful. Breakfast included. Clean and building quite interesting. Nice garden in front. Good parking. This hotel is in well situated with easy access to the city, but in a quiet location. We went for walks around this lovely suburb of North Adelaide. No frills, an older "stately home" but adequate for our four night stay. Could walk to nice restaurants & free parking. We would stay here again. Great staff. Assisted with booking issues I had and were able to accommodate an extra night at short notice. Location is perfect. Walking distance to restaurant district and some nice bars, or a short 20 minute walk to the CBD (or a quick bus/taxi ride if you do not have a car). Our group of 6 all agreed everything was perfect. The rooms were large and well equipped. No need to spend money on 5-star accommodation when you can get all you want and need at Princes Lodge. Location, short walk to Oval and Free Bus to Rundle Mall. Breakfast - Very nice Room 6 - Bed , very comfortable, stayed 5 nites appreciated lots of space, Stayed 2012 and will again in 2014. The room was clean, comfortable with tea/coffe etc and an ensuite and decent TV. This is all I look for in a motel!. We had absolutely no complaints at all, we stayed two nights and didn't encounter a single problem at all. 3 adults traveling together it was great to have 3 separate beds. the price was reasonable. good location. I wanted to stay at North Adelaide. Old world charm. Comfortable bed. I was happy with all aspects of accomodation. Enjoyed breakfast as well. Nothing. You get what you pay for do not expect to much. There was nothing we didn't like it is so close to everything. One staff member did not seem know the answers to my questions that were pretty basic. New?? Quite shabby in some places that although the place is clean, it doesn't give that impression. Nothing it was a good place to stay. Not much we did not like! Only a couple of minor maintenance issues like cracked plaster and a toilet with a slight leak!. Nothing to dislike. we were on the ground floor (Rm.1) and the floor boards from the room above us squeaked whenever someone stepped. It is starting to look a bit tardy, some TLC by the ownerswould make this a spectacular guest house. Could do with a couch and a coat of paint. nothing. nothing. It would be nice to have access to papers in the breakfast room - the tables and chairs are dated but the food was great. water jug provided would be at least 10 years old, plastic lid leaked when pouring water into glass, health issue when plastic material fray. As I am very tall the bed was a little uncomfortable and I am used to a more solid mattress. Nothing. nothing. My stay was to short. Bathroom two doors up from my room!. Everything was amazing, but bathroom was smaller then expected. Needs a little bit of TLC and paint. A bit too far from Adelaide City but near a couple of street with restaurants so no problem for us. A bit tired and in need of refurbishment and decoration. Avoid Room 8 very noisy. Nothing. cold room, no heating of any sort. Shabby. Noisy (someone with a drill hammer started up at 7am close to my window) No one answered the phone when i rang about check in. Some rooms are very noisy. Windows to be changed. Bathrooms to be restructured. Everything.
