The friendliness of the staff, location and facilities within the room. We stayed in room 721 and loved the size of the bedrooms and the amazing balcony. I felt very secure with the after hours key only acsess. Check out was also very quick. We liked the atmosphere, staff were very polite and helpful and the building was close to shops and travel requirements. We used the restaurant for dinner and the food was very tasty and nicely presented.
all reviews » Jade was great help on the front desk. Helped us organize our tour etc. Love having a microwave in the room, something rare in other accommodation. The balcony was lovely and the bathroom was well presented the room had a lot of things we needed (iron, sink and glasses, tv in the bedroom). Beds comfy. Location was great as we could walk everywhere. Young girl in cafe very friendly & helpful, so was young girl in reception. Everything. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. My Mother found the room very comfortable and easy to get around in. The layout was good and the suite faces a small park. It is very close to Rundle Mall and convenient for food. Highly recommend this . great location on square with distance from traffic. Good room with kitchenette and view. 2 bedroom suite worked well for 3 persons. The furniture on the balcony. Could use something a bit more lavish on the top floor rooms. Nothing. The gym was too small and poorly equipped. No free weights and no room to do calisthenics. Room was a little shabby. Greatly in need of a paint, and tv cabinet very worn. Also breakfast was not honoured at the price advertised on our booking form, which said $19.00 and we had to pay $24.00 even after we queried it. I feel that a hand rail in the showers would make the Hotel friendly for older travellers. I was travelling with my elderly Mum and the rail would have been great. A light over the kitchen area would help. There was no free wifi. Silly claims by staff about parking, trying to scare me into paying for valet parking on a weekend - I paid $1.60 on a meter 30 m from the door!. The foyer , restaurant & outside areas were booked out due to xmas parties , as a guest I would have liked to sit in the foyer with a drink but couldnt , The remote control for the TVs is wornout , the buttons dont work sometimes & we gave up trying to watch the TVs , no free wifi. Wish the linen was changed more frequently. The only parking available is valet parking - for which the hotel does not accept responsibility. On the positive side, the staff are quick to bring cars around. Rooms need more lighting, dressing for wedding under heat lamp!!. Cleanliness of the shower. That there were no windows in either of the bedrooms. Arrival parking. No free carparking, staff a bit forgetful - tagged our car keys with another vehicle's number so car was "lost"... I would like to see a nice big oaten biscuit and some real choclate (bars) in the mini bar. I find the sound setting on the TV to be too low and can barely hear it when sitting on the lounge in most rooms I have stayed in. The price. Room was rather shabby, too cold. No pool More importantly no bath! I wish I had noticed that prior to booking, or I wouldnt have booked. VERY disappointed to have discovered that on arrival!. Small over priced rooms and no pool. You could hear the people going to the toilet and using the shower when you were trying to sleep. Paying over $240 per night, I would have expected better or at least informed of this when booking.
