  The staff at Milhouse Hipo spoke most languages between them and couldn't have been more helpful. The bigger Hostel Milhouse Avenue was only 5 minutes away on foot and had a representative there who could help with any or all of your onward travel needs. - I loved the way guests were always put in touch, because of the parties and tango lessons..... what people say » .I think this is the main difference of this hostel. Palermo is a good 30 mins by taxi away - I liked very much the hostel, the rooms are clean, people are very nice, the recepcionists are adorable. I'm brazilian and stayed for four days, went alone to buenos aires and was amazing. The hostel is close to other neighborhoods known like palermo retiro and recoleta. I recommend!

  The hostel is in Montserrat, a central area of BA. Not the best area of the city, but a central one (15-20 min walking from the Obelisco), generally safe and quite close to a SUBTE station. Two supermarkets just around the corner. The guys who have the hostel are very polite and helped me for everything. I have been travelling for 6 months now and this is the best one I have found - comfortable, peaceful, decent sized rooms, great location (San Telmo - short walk to Plaza Dorrego, next to a metro stop).   We stayed in Hotelmo which is next store to the Mantengase hotel, they offered private rooms with private bathroom. Everything was fantastic from the location, service, the owners of the complex are very very accommodating. Even though we couldnt speak a word of spanish and they couldnt speak a word of english, they bent over backwards to assist ... what people say » us. They even gave us a transport card to use d - The hostel is very well located, close to some important points of the city or with easy access to buses. We stayed in the double room, the decoration is nice, detailed chosen and with colors... The people that received us at the hotel treated us as their family, caring if we had everything... the breakfast was good too... the front house, where we were having the breakfast, has turtles, dogs and a funny parrot, what made the experience even better for us... I highly recommend!
