  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the intercontinental. The staff were amazing and made my stay as comfortable as possible.   The staff was amazing! There was not a single person we dealt with that was not friendly, knowledgable and quick to assist. Everyone went above and beyond.   We got upgraded to a suite as it was our honeymoon. The room was quite simply the best I have stayed in and I've stayed in a few suites. The staff could not do enough for you and we're always there in the background to help.   My 14 year old daughter and I stayed at the Shore this past June for 7 nights. Each room has a balcony. We were moved to an ocean -front room since we were staying for a week which was very generous. The location is probably the best in Santa Monica. Rooms were modern and bathroom has clear glass wall to see into bedroom, which was a novelty for my 7yo daughter. Free internet/wifi was fantastic. Was given glass of champagne at check in which was a nice surprise. My daughter loved the heated pool.
