This old hotel has received quite a contemporary makeover. The rooms are relatively clean, and furnished with simple, yet attractive selections. The bathroom while still complete with it's archaic fixtures, are all refreshed with new coatings to make them appear as they once did in their heyday. The location is in a gentrified part of town, just a block or so from the beach. The free Wi-Fi here is superior to many systems. For the price, this hotel is an excellent value, as long as the guest.
όλα τα σχόλια » We loved this hotel. We stayed in the one bedroom suite with the private balcony for 2 nights. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a comfortable feel due to the age of the building. Sure you may find a little oxidation on the sinks or metal hardware in the bathroom, but that's expected in a sandy, tropical location that exposed to the salty ocean air. I say this because of some negative reviews I read. The hotel is in a really good location. Close to many shops an. TropiRock Resort is conveniently located close to the beach and walkable to many great Ft. Lauderdale beach destinations including a great restaurant right next door. It is in a very nice area to stay. The Staff is also super friendly and dedicated to their guests. It is a family-like atmosphere and guests are very friendly with one another. It is a very clean facility, which is very important. There is plenty of free parking, too. The complimentary coffee offered each morning is another . Very nice accommodations for the value. We arrived after 8pm and had to check in at another motel (Aqua) a couple of blocks away (office closes around 8pm at the TropiRocks) but it wasn't a problem. Parking is a bit tight at times; the room was spacious and coffee is provided in the morning. You'll need to navigate steps so if you have a lot of heavy baggage, it could be a problem. Pool area is very nice with some secluded areas for some R and R. It's only 2 blocks from the beach. Lovely firm king bed. Room clean (although bathroom very dated) with all the expected facilities. Warm pool with plenty of poolside furniture. Shaded by the vegetation which adds character and really sets this hotel apart from the other 'concrete only' hotels in the area. Excellent location - have stayed in "on the beach" properties where the walk to the sand through the building seemed longer than the 2 min stroll along the street. Brilliant value, will stay again. RECOMMENDED. Very friendly and nice staff, small hotel with some sloping floors and not-too-sterile balconies etc. However, the overview of the rooms were a bit worn, but clean. We had a 2 queen-size bed in the living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen was good with tableware. Heated small pool. Laundry and drier machines. 5-Min walk to the beautiful beach. After making my reservation I realized my dates were wrong. Knowing your rules, my wife called anyway and was cheerfully assisted by one of your lovely associates. After contacting the motel they offered to up grade our room for a small fee so as not to cause us to lose our entire nights booking charge. Great job everyone!!!!!!!!!!!. Great place for hanging out with the family. But hard to grt there with the police closing down the beachfront street cause of wierd drunken people partying at the beach... So close to the beach....but in a not noisy street.... For the money the hotel was fantastic. Close to the mall and close to the action at Beach Place. Not to mention a 4 minute walk to the beach. I had a big room on the second floor. Very clean and spacious. I would go back. Very clean, quiet, neatly landscaped. The location is also a plus--just a couple blocks from the beach. Most of all, perhaps, was the value. We stayed in early April for three nights for under $100/night. A great value!. Two most important things in a hotel room--- comfortable bed, great shower --Pefect location. Close to the beach and entertainment...but still a few blocks away from the noise. A 'little oasis'. A great experience. Can't beat the price and be only two blocks from the beach in a nice area of Ft Lauderdale close to fun restaurants and bars. Small cozy hotel with a notch of retro style (was told hotel was built in the 50's): rooms are clean, beddings are comfy. The location of TropiRock is amazing. You are so close to the beach and good places to eat and have drinks. It is near the Galleria Mall and other popular areas like Las Olas and Wilton Manor. Very close to the beach, with a nice restaurant at the next door (10% off for hotel guests). With a 10 min walk you can find some nightlife and a pharmacy. Clean and quiet rooms. Recommended. The beds were very comfortable, and the hotel was so quaint. It made us feel like we were in our own little oasis. The landscaping was gorgeous! We were 2 blocks from the beach:). Quaint, small but not too small, clean, a block from the beach and bars, computer and printer there, was able to print my boarding pass for flight home. Pet friendly. I liked the kitchenette to make meals, the pool was nice and clean, the outdoor greenery and plants made the place look unique with character, very close to beach. the quiet inside and nearby the hotel.the free parking just off the entrance. the excellent beach just four minutes of walking distance from the hotel. When it is running, it is all you can hear. When it is not running, you are privy to every word of the conversations of the occupants in adjacent rooms, as there is zero soundproofing for the adjoining room doors. If you need any privacy, this hotel is not a good selection!. While generally quiet, the guests next door were a little loud at odd times. I know that they were on a completely different time-zone, though. Elevator wasn't working; steps ay be an issue for some...try for a ground floor room. Our bathroom and the elevator would benefit from refurbishment - but would not stop us returning. The floor in the room was quite dirty (slippers are a good idea). Gym equipment is not in use anymore. A grocery/supermarket was not within a walking distance. The refrigerator was empty..LOL. Elevator was out of order. No one said anything so I assumed no one was going to fix it anytime soon. The lack of sundry items, aside from shampoo, and the lack of a luggage stand. No hdtv (flat panel, but no hd). This, however, was a minor concern for us. That I couldn't stay longer!. The a/c was a wall unit far from the bed but besides that, this place was great. Elevator was out of service. Concrete corridors floors need a good wash ac was a bit noisy No staff presence after 8pm raises security concerns Breakfast included would be a bonus. The amenities are a little lacking. They don't have an ice machine on site - you have to go to the outdoor restaurant next door or to one of their other properties to get ice. If you come in more than one vehicle be prepared to spend an extra $20 per night on parking. Breakfast would made the stay perfect. That I had to go home. Needs some updates, no hot tub, pool needed more water, level way too low, no ice machines/vending machines. No telephone in room, no safe, location not close enough to las olas boulevard, beds were not comfortable to sleep on. nothing. air conditioner was nosiy. Terse, unfriendly manager Cold pool No elevator Tiny parking spaces Facilities need updating. The entrance to the hotel was via a keypad which was OK from security point of view but bad as had to wait ages for hotel staff to give us the code to get in. To get to the beach and the main road, you have to walk between an open lot and an abandoned hotel- a little creepy at night!. The only shortcomings: a noisy airconditioner and the water pressure at the showerhead. The neighborhood was run down and a little scary looking. There were cindemed buildings with youth climbing fences to get in them. Scary!!. Nothing. N/A. - No elevator - reception closes after 20:00, so if you arrive after 20:00 you have to go to another hotel nearby to check in. A little run down; some shoddy maintenance and cheap repairs. I would love to see this resort restored to its original state. Some of the other guests were a bit strange. Bath room is really out dated and the fan in there was loud as heck, but other then that is was great!. Room is a bit dated, could do with some fresh paint. But everything we needed was there. Our room was at first floor by the office, very high traffic rather noisy. Could have been a little clearner- bathroom floor. Except for one stoned employee who accidentally called our cab for the wrong day so we had to go searching for one to miami during rush hour. Check out time No filtered or bottled water for free. dated furniture and fixtures. nothing really???.
