The house is a superb old English country house with great individual style. Rebecca is an excellent and friendly host. Musicians will love the piano and drums. Historic car buffs will also enjoy their collection of classic cars they are restoring. Very convenient for Exeter, including the University. -

Was upgraded from executive double to executive suite on arrival which was a nice surprise. The decoration and facilities in the room were superb, one of the best rooms that I have ever stayed in. Excellent location for visiting Exeter city centre, with lovely friendly staff. just 5 minutes walk from either Exeter St Davids or Exeter central. The room was comfortable and clean, and the en suite was very nice, the staff were friendly and the guest house in a good location for the city centre. We enjoyed a choice of breakfasts in the morning, overall a good stay, we would book again.

Firstly, the location: ideal for the city centre and Exeter Central railway station (literally next door), bus station, the quay area (by the river - 7/8 min. walk) and Exeter St.Davids (15 min walk). Excellent staff, friendly helpful arrival, even though we arrived late
in the evening as we had advised, and that approach continued next day
morning. Rooms were fine, and bathroom facilities good especially
bearing in mind usual British plumbing standards. Location very close to
high street shopping and easy to get to main rail station although a hit
far with suitcases, but okay with a backpack. Easy taxi ride. Good pub

Neat rooms, very spacious and had that fresh happy feeling. Clean and welcoming - lots of different teas and coffees and a luxury to choose upon arrival or before next morning's breakfast!
Staff were very helpful and polite as well as eager to go out of their own way to make your stay more comfortable to easy.

The Townhouse was a delight and I will definitely stay again. The room was perfect and splendidly clean and the bathroom was really lovely. The Townhouse feels like a home away from home and is a perfect place to be. It is close to the station and the shops and is in a safe residential area. Breakfast was delicious and perfectly prepared. I really couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

Unlike the reviews it had helpful and friendly staff, a large and clean room and an excellent breakfast choice; in all a very pleasant stay. Very good value for money at the special tariff. The place is conveniently located between the university and the city
center, a step away from the main train station, even though I found out
that Exeter St.Davis station is the one you'll probably use if

Both my partner & I were exceedingly impressed by the high standard to which this hotel has been refurbished. From the moment we entered we were relieved to find this hotel has been beautifully redecorated, the staff were incredibly friendly & helpful with arranging a taxi for us, & the breakfast (included in price) was very good.

The hotel was very homely and very clean and warm. There was all you needed in the room. The staff were very helpful and friendly and service was always with a smile. It is situated near the town, cathedral and quay and bus stop outside. Very good location for a weekend trip to see the sights. Good value for money...cosy breakfast room...friendly atmosphere.

The room was nicely furnished, clean and quiet enough to sleep well - there was some noise outside quite late from passers-by returning home as it was a Friday night, but nothing too disturbing.
The reception staff were pleasant and efficient; parking was secure and close by.
And I was particularly grateful for a proper ironing board! -

The hotel room was really good, very spacious and luxurious.
The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel and we were very pleased with the food.
Bottom line: it is not a cheap accommodation but in the end you get what you pay for. We would highly recommend it! -

This is without a doubt one of the coolest hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere is efficient but laid back . The hotel had everything we needed. The pool was fantastic and the fitness facilities although not extensive were adequate. The room was well equipped and a good size (we stayed in a superior room). The bed was really comfortable. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant but the breakfast was really tasty with good choices
