Very helpful staff, good size bedroom, good location, meals were very good - both in the restaurant and in the bar. - Clean, quiet, food was excellent and the staff were friendly, helpful and easy on the eye.

I particularly liked the friendliness of the staff that dealt with us, as they were very welcoming and helpful, plus the overall cleanliness and quality of the hotel. The location of the hotel is amazing, views of the castle and a minute walk to the town centre. The hotel itself is was very comfortable, with antique furnishings, and a fabulous open log fire. Concerns over the heating in our lovely room were addressed straight away and we were given a suite at no extra cost which was superb. The breakfast was of a very high standard and I would recommend this superbly situated hotel to everyone.

Beautiful venue. Extremely polite staff even at 1am when I checked in drunk after a friends wedding. The gentleman on reception called me sir despite me staggering in with beer down the front of my suit looking anything but a sir! Luxury rooms great setting in the cheshire countryside. The pub is an old coaching station retaining its charms and the staff were excellent and friendly from arrival. The food served that evening was traditional pub fare and was very well priced, presented and tasty. The landlord was very accomdating. If we didnt have something he made sure we had and he also let his staff know for future reference. He kept an eye one everyone making sure they were comfortable and the waiting staff were excelllent food was brought out prompt and the food was cooked to perfection. Would have any trouble reccommending this inn

As I say, I wanted this hotel for its location; the hotel itself did nothing to detract from its convenient location: quite the opposite, it was admirable in its services. - Quiet place next to a pond,with nice view near the Wrekin hill, 10 miles from Shrewsbury, comfortable free parking. Good value for the price.

Got the timings for breakfast confused but the barman and the waitress with the beaming smile were very accomadating and nothing was too much bother for either member of staff, just sorry I didn't get there names to give them a proper mention.

We were actually booked out to the Holiday Inn as Grays Hotel decided to close for christmas but on check in at The Holiday In we received an ungrade to a deluxe room and the staffon reception were really helpful and great. - Freindly and helpful staff. We arrived to a warm welcome on a cold December afternoon, after a family funeral. We immediately felt more like being at home than in a hotel.

We cannot praise this guest house and its great owners Mel and Brian, their lovely family...including their entertaining resident pooch Basil, enough. This heritage accommodation is quiet, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Excellent quality tea, coffee, biscuits and water is supplied in the room and the gourmet breakfast was delicious.
