Concerns over the heating in our lovely room were addressed straight away and we were given a suite at no extra cost which was superb. The breakfast was of a very high standard and I would recommend this superbly situated hotel to everyone.

Beautiful venue. Extremely polite staff even at 1am when I checked in drunk after a friends wedding. The gentleman on reception called me sir despite me staggering in with beer down the front of my suit looking anything but a sir! Luxury rooms great setting in the cheshire countryside. The landlord was very accomdating. If we didnt have something he made sure we had and he also let his staff know for future reference. He kept an eye one everyone making sure they were comfortable and the waiting staff were excelllent food was brought out prompt and the food was cooked to perfection. As I say, I wanted this hotel for its location; the hotel itself did nothing to detract from its convenient location: quite the opposite, it was admirable in its services. - Quiet place next to a pond,with nice view near the Wrekin hill, 10 miles from Shrewsbury, comfortable free parking. Got the timings for breakfast confused but the barman and the waitress with the beaming smile were very accomadating and nothing was too much bother for either member of staff, just sorry I didn't get there names to give them a proper mention.

We cannot praise this guest house and its great owners Mel and Brian, their lovely family...including their entertaining resident pooch Basil, enough. This heritage accommodation is quiet, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
