This is a little out of the way and not easy to get to with public transportation, but we were extremely happy we made the effort to stop here. We very much enjoyed our stay here. A great welcome, Friendly, Clean, Would have stayed longer but we was booked in across the road at the Craig y nos castle which i'm sorry the rooms are not worth the money at £150 per night but this B & B is 100% Worth the money for £65 per night so me and my husband recommend this totally.

The setting is idyllic, with wonderful views across the lake. A great venue for lovers of nature & wildlife, and particularly good for birdwatching.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, and staff were pleasant and attentive. Food excellent, and a wide selection available within a choice of menus.

Friendly and efficient staff (we were given print out maps of the sites we enquired about which were really useful.
We also liked the fact that restaurant and Bar food was available, both with a view on the lake - we only tested the Bar which was excellent.
The room, with both shower and huge bath tub, extra large and firm bed - we had an excellent night sleep.
Fantastic view on the lake.

Helpful staff who showed us all around the hotel and provided us with a travel cot. Upgrade to a very large family room. Good breakfast. Can't fault really particularly for the very reasonable price - The staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful. The grounds with the river running through were beautiful and the hotel was very well kept.

Fantastic view from bedroom . Friendly welcome and service , large comfortable dining room with lovely view . Ate dinner there both nights , very good standard of food and very friendly , but efficient service in the restaurant . Breakfast was very good also . We would very happily visit again . -

Ground floor twin room is ideal for people who can't do stairs. Convenient wet room shower en suite. Easy free parking and easy access to outside seating. Fantastic breakfast and very quiet but also very near the centre. Lots of eating places nearby. Very obliging host, lounge with books and games etc -

This is a very olde worlde Tudor timbered building with loads of
character in a beautiful country setting. The very old door into our
bedroom was about 5ft high, I am 6ft 3in but this only added to the
interest and the on suite room itself was clean, spacious and

Beautiful 15th century building. Small and cosy. You walk into cosy lounge with roaring fire, lovely!
Staff so helpful,polite and friendly.
Lovely afternoon tea/sandwiches/soups.
lovely meals/breakfast. If you like small and cosy, this is the place. Beautiful grounds/views and 5mins from Newtown by car.
Really lovely place to relax and would return. I was in main building, there are seperate quarters in the grounds.

The owners were fabulous. Even though we arrived very late they still gave us the full gourmet restaurant service and their friendliness and interest made us feel that we were staying with old friends. - quiet, very nice view, lovely people, very good restaurant

We appreciated the history of the hotel, it was delightful and we would stay there again. - Clean rooms, wonderful staff, great breakfast, they packed us a lunch and recommended some wonderful local sites to see and do.

Everything! The rooms were full of character and contained everything you'd need. The staff were very helpful and the food was great! The price was nothing to complain about either! - Overall it was one of the best three star hotels I have stayed in. By far better than many four star rated hotels

The cottage was warm and inviting after a long day out on the hills it was clean, very spacious and had everything we needed for a cosy night in. the views in the morning were stunning, a very enjoyable stay.
