the setting was perfect. I had travelled a great distance to attend a job interview and my daughter accompanied me. The room was upgraded to superior double room by the managements decision. This was to our heightened surprise and gratefulness. Clean, stylish, spacious and so relaxing with a view of the medieval harbour. Excellent location, enabling us to explore the local surroundings and highlights such as, the well known R. Steins restaurants the local produce and arts. We even took adv. όλα τα σχόλια »
The location. That there was plenty to do within walking distance. There was no through traffic., which made it lovely and quiet. Plenty of places to stroll and have a quiet drink or eat. My favourite was the beach. The hotel was homely and just easy to come and go as you please., with food at the car until quite late.
Staff where outstanding. I had requested a particular room and unfortunately not allocated to it. The staff very quickly did some work to sort this out and had us settled in no time. And did not charge us for the additional upgrade. Another wonderful stay. Thankyou.
The room was clean, bright and well decorated there was nothing to criticise about that. I felt the atmosphere in the bar area was very good, in fact the best of the pubs etc. we visited in Padstow.
The location was also ideal being right on the harbour front.

The custom house was clean and welcoming it provided all the usual facilities tea, coffee and washroom supplies. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. A wonderful location to relax and enjoy the cornish coast.

We had a lovely room overlooking the harbour with fantastic views. The room was lovely, really spacious and comfortable. We were able to sit and look out from the sofa. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had superb breakfasts.
From the book in to when we left from reception to the bar all areas were so comfortable, staff were so friendly, approachable, the breakfast was amazing especially the dried fruit soaked in a chef made syrup. Can't wait to return.
The hotel was in a perfect position with a beautiful view of the harbour from our attic room and also from the breakfast room. The room was comfortable although small. Padstow was a good base to explore other quaint seaside villages.
The hotel was in a good position and as we had booked a room with a harbour view we had a lovely dual aspect room. The breakfast was good with a choice of hot food which was freshly cooked to order. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Everything was perfect. Including a waiter in the hotel restaurant who organised small birthday dessert for my boyfriend.Plus the champagne which I did ask for was waiting for us in the room. It was wonderful!.

we had a lovely view to the harbour room was very clean and hot pleanty hot water. the breakfast was lovely well worth the money to stay will go back again.
Location was perfect enabling us to walk and not have to rely on a car. Also the Eggs Benedict offered for breakfast was one of the best I have ever tasted.

We felt a little lost in finding our way to the dining area, as we were informed to walk around the outside of the building to enter the dining area, however there was a way via the building lol.
The entrance was a bit shabby as were the stairways.
I felt the price of food in the restaurant was slightly pricey a consequence I suppose of being in Padstow.
paying £7.00 for 24 hours parking means you overpay the time or chance getting a ticket.

After waiting for about 1 hour for our meal we enquired and found that the order had been lost. The staff were very apologetic and when the food arrived it was really tasty. Parking is a problem. We paid for 24 hrs and were about 20 mins late to pay the 2nd fee and copped a 100 pound fine - so be very careful.
Parking could be an issue but if you arrive around 4pm when many day visitors are leaving you have more chance of getting a space on the harbour. If you talk to the harbour parking attendant a you can buy a parking ticket so that you don't have to keep putting money in the machine.

A bit pricey but we think it worth it for the view and location.

Nothing - staff were great, room 8 was beautifully appointed with fabulous views, and overall good value for money.
Our room was in need of a little decorating but all of the appliances worked and the beds were comfortable.

We never had a problem at all but the stairs could be a problem for some.

If your unable to climb stairs then this is not the place for you.
No parking at hotel but public paid car parking is available close to Hotel could be an issue.
If you have a waist size over 36", you will not be able to use the bath! If you have mobility problems, you might find some of the stairs difficult.
We found the pillows to be really hard and there was quite a bit of noise from the bar below which to be fair it does state when booking.
When you add the vat I thought for one night it was quite expensive.
