Superb friendly staff and owners. excellent facilities. The kitchenette was fabulous. Very generous with extras like milk, cereals, bisuits. Impeccably clean. Breakfast served in rom. Wonderful. The hotel is very close to the rail and bus stations and also to downtown. Although we arrived early in the morning we were allowed to leave the laggage in the bar and go to visit the town. The room was very clean and confortable. - The availability of the staff and their assistance, the nice size of the ensuite, continental or traditional english

The modern design of the rooms, control over the heat, comfort of bed,the location (near park and ride so there was easy access to thecenter), size of room, option to order omelette for breakfast ratherthan eat buffet eggs - The room was great and the breakfast was lovely. We anjoyed swimming in the pool. It was great to have the park and ride next

We have learned that in England if you have a car you need to check tosee if there is parking at the Hotel. We have recently stayed in Bathand had to pay 8 pounds per day to park the car at the back of the b andB. So, the fact that the hotel has parking and is not far from the busstop made it convenient for getting into the city of Oxford. - Our ro

The location was close enough to shops and restaurants, and a long walk or quick bus ride into downtown. It was clean and comfortable and although the hosts/employees were on the shy and quiet side, they did a great job and were friendly.

It was a new guest house. It was very clean, very good quality of pillows and matrices, we had an excellent sleep. The entire decoration was minimal but beautiful. The stuff was very helpful and professional. Very close to the train station and the center. It was an enjoyable stay -

The Bear and Ragged Staff was oozing with old world charm. Log fires,
exposed beams, crooked staircases - very British. The food was amazing.

This hotel is simply beautiful. The staff are fantastic, the food is
very good and the rooms are simply beautiful! The location was perfect
for our weekend visiting the beautiful city of Oxford followed by a
Bicester shopping trip on the way home only 15 minutes from the hotel.
We looked at Malmaison but thought it was too much for what it was so
when we found this one at such a fab price, we booked it immediately! 15
minutes in a taxi £8-£10 to Oxtord Westside - dropped off just outside

The staff at Becket was welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and the place felt private and familiar yet was right in the thick of Oxford. with the basic stuff (like hangers and drawers) often lacking in budget

A very warm welcome, lovely atmosphere, ideal location with the added advantage of being directed to their sister hotel to park closer to Oxford City Centre. Excellent leisure facilities. - Clean and smart after a recent refurbishment, friendly and welcoming staff . Good quiet location but still very easy to get into Oxford, great ambience.

Most of the above - Well located on main thoroughfare in to Oxford from the north, about 15mins walk in to centre. Small / clean rooms, helpful staff and good breakfast. As good as the local competition but would be considered overpriced in most other UK towns.

The Lakeside was well located in Oxford---within walking distance to most of the colleges, museum, etc., but outside of the hustle and bustle of Oxford proper, so was a bit more quiet. Very helpful owners who went out of their way to make our stay excellent. The room was very comfortable; breakfast was varied and generous. Really appreciated the central heating in the mornings and evenings and the exceptionally hot shower ! Close to city centre. We are in our 70sand we could walk there in 10 mins.
