You could not find a hotel with a better location in Oxford. Our room overlooked the garden of Jesus College. All of the colleges and main street are literally minutes away. The hotel is charming, fireplace in the room, antique furniture, lovely breakfast with a plus of fresh fruit. Wonderful staff. No evevator but stairs are not too high. We

Our visit as part of a self-organised university tour. The Bocardo is central and walking distance to most of the colleges, museums, shops, malls and covered market. It is located on George Street above Jamie Oliver's restaurant, cinemas and theatre across the road.

I loved everything about The Boacardo and would recommend it to anyone. They went out of their way to give us an early check in, helped by holding our bags after our stay while we did a tour, recommended a good food pub, offered adapters, had quality toiletries, etc. Beds were comfortable, and temperature could be controlled by us.This was a delightful hotel which I would stay in again.

Room was clean and modern. Bed was comfortable and very convenient to bus station and centre of town. Breakfast was fine as was showering facilities if you don't mind sharing a bathroom with others. Convenient to good restaurants - Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant on the corner! -

They were very helpful. After I was there for three hours I discovered the toilet did not work. They moved me to another room immediately. Two days later the ceiling caved in during the night because of the water from the air conditioner. Immediately they moved me to another room. - the clealiness was fantastic. infact it worth more than the money

We booked into our standard room,which was well above standard. All was good until we found that the bathroom sink was blocked. The staff arranged for maintenance to come to the room. They were unable to fix the problem straight away, therefore the manager arrived and moved us immediately to a superior room with complimentary drinks. Although we w

Absolutely loved this hotel! I booked the Malmaison mainly for the fact
that it is a converted jail and that it was in a Lewis episode. It was a
bit of a splurge & worth every penny! The bar was fantastic &
both bartenders that we encountered were quite lovely! We were treated
really well by both gentlemen. By far one of the best experiences
I've had in a hotel in the uk. I would love to come back & spend
more time.

The hotel is very close to the rail and bus stations and also to downtown. Although we arrived early in the morning we were allowed to leave the laggage in the bar and go to visit the town. The staff welcomed us back for our 1st wedding anniversary with their friendly, courteus mannerm and a bottle of champagne in the room- we first stayed at The Old Bank last year ,having just got married, and they made our trip extra special by upgrading our room and again giving us champagne. It's the little touches that make it so special! we will be back every anniversary!
