Surrounded by the Mamore Mountain range and just 150 metres from the banks of Loch Leven, this guest accommodation offers rooms with a private bathroom, a TV and a DVD player. With Sky Sports and BT Sports channels shown on the large TV in the bar, free Wi-Fi access is also available. Set in the historic village of Kinlochleven, The Tailrace Inn is opposite the scenic West Highland Way, a long distance footpath. The Ice Factor, a rock and ice climbing and skiing centre, is a 5-minute walk away. Glencoe is a 10-minute drive away and Fort William can be reached after 30 minutes’ drive. A private bathroom is included in each room at The Tailrace, which also has tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Continental and full English breakfasts are served in the dining area and meals are available throughout the day in the bar.

All staff without exception were warm & welcoming. Our old Retriever Robbie loved his biscuit treats too ! Cooked Breakfasts set us up nicely for walking parts of the WHW. We had evening meal in the bar with good sized portions and good value for money...locals were visitor&dog friendly. Would definitely use again. The landlady was very helpful. We arrived late. The cook had gone home but the landlady offered to cook a meal for us. She cooked and served our meal whilst running back and forth to serve customers at the bar. A very busy, but very capable lady!.

Lovely spot among the mountains. Would recommend and will go back again. They were so helpful.The land lady is a little diamond,she and her staff made us really welcome also our dog was made to feel like she was at home.I think they should receive some sort of reward!!. Friendly staff and a very homely place to stay. It a good old pub with rooms. Excellent spot for the West Highland Way or climbing the Marmores. Friendly staff, nice food and lots of choice, good breakfast, great location for walking, comfortable beds and all the facilities we needed. Bedroom was very clean and spacious. Excellent bar meals at very reasonable prices. 2 Meals for £10 between 4-6pm. Just what is needed after a long days walking. Good food,hot shower and a clean bed. Stored furniture in dining room didn't look good but this was presumably just a temporary arrangement. No complaints....good value for money. The shower was not great. It was very hard to control the temperature. Having to leave. Nothing, maybe a bit expensive for what it is but the location was ideal for us. As a base for touring maybe not so good. A bit noisy when other guests were going back to rooms. Steep stairs to rooms. Difficult for elderly or those with mobility problems. Squeaky bed and being woken up early by other noisy customers. Food not great. No easy chair in the bedroom. Tuna sandwich for packed lunch on a hot July day? Unlikely to stay fresh and appetising squashed into a rucksac - and it didn't !. The bed was very uncomfortable, they need a new mattress in room 4 immediately. Packed lunch - no choice didn't like what I got. Need to offer an early breakfast. The noise of the hotel patrons outside the bedroom window until 1am made sleeping impossible. The heat of the room was unbearable, but our request for a fan was ignored.
