The scenic Theatre by the Lake is less than 10 minutes’ walk away, and guests can enjoy boat rides on nearby Derwentwater. There is a storage room for where guests can store wet walking gear.

Dawn and Paul extended a very warm welcome, the food was excellent, the accommodation was very good and based close to the town centre and the lake. Both proprietors were well informed about the area and could offer advice about places to visit and appropriate walks for individuals or families depending on ability.

The owners Dawn & Paul were very welcoming, but not overbearing. The room was clean and well equipped, and thoughtful details had been added. Also, they were not stingy on the tea and coffee facilities in the room. They gave us some good advice about the local area and hill climb we were planning to do... and the breakfast we had there was lovely!.
Very relaxing break , the owners could not do enough for you, thats without going over the top. The building could not be better placed for getting around Keswick, facing a park and a 2 minute walk from both Lake and Town centre. Rooms very comfortable and clean,and quiet. Great breakfast , try the Cheese on Toast with Chilli or great full english.
Everything! Dawn was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. She was happy to go the extra mile for us. The room was bright, airy and gorgeous, the shower room was amazing, the views superb. The whole experience was nothing but pleasant. The B & B is exceptionally clean. I fell in love with the doggies too! We will be coming again!!.
Paul & Dawn made every effort to make us weary travelers feel very welcome, they were both extremely knowledgable of the local area & places to see & things to do. Breakfasts were excellent, conversations were also wonderful. We enjoyed our 3 nights at West View & Keswick.

Fantastic location over looking Hope Park, 2 minutes walk to the Lake, 2 minutes walk to Keswick Town Center. Breakfast was very, very good. 10/10 highly recommended.

We got a warm welcome and a pot of tea made for us on arrival - lovely ! The bed was comfortable which is often not the case in some guest houses. Nice furniture with plenty of coathangers! Very clean.Good location for the centre of Keswick.
I have stayed at West View a couple of times before (a few years ago) and the rooms have been much updated and I was very pleasantly surprised ... The property and owners are great and I will definitely stay again in the future.
The owner was very friendly and made us a pot of tea on arrival. The breakfasts were very good. There was a lounge on the first floor with a great view (the view from the breakfast room also was good) and with television/books.

The couple who ran the guest house were extremely welcoming and friendly. They were very knowledgeable about local walks and had great little cards on the breakfast table providing details on different walks.

I would have liked a pot of coffee on the breakfast table instead of being served a cup at a time. It was difficult to find a parking place.

The room was classed as a deluxe room and not cheap but the towels were thin and had fraying edges, the bathroom floor wasn't heated. We had two single beds together rather than a king sized bed - so not as comfortable. No biscuits on the tea tray. 'Scenic views' is stretching it a bit!.
