The staff were exceptionally friendly and the welcome was warm and sincere. The lounge/lobby/bar area was comfortable and had free wi-fi access. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant where we also enjoyed a hearty breakfast the next morning. The hotel was pet-friendly at no extra charge. Although quite a bit outside of Reading, it's near Aldermaston station and just off the A4. The hotel obviously caters more for mid-week business clientèle as it was pretty quiet on Friday night. όλα τα σχόλια »
We were using Metro Inns as a stop off on the way to Bristol. The
location was great for Motorway access and with a selection of pubs
serving food a few minutes walk away. Also close to Tesco to fill up on
things for the journey.
The Continental Breakfast was more than enough for two and very good quality.
The Staff we came intio contact with were pleasant and helpful.
Reception was brilliant, even being prepared to change arrangements at
the last moment due to a family illness. There help and assistance was
greatly appreciated...I Am afraid I never took the receptionists name,
but, if I had..I Would name her as being an excellent example of what a
receptionist should be like.
The Metro/Siesta (whatever) continues to provide good value accommodation; I travel to Gloucester regularly by train/bike for a one night stopover and it provides a good night's sleep in a well presented (albeit small) room at a reasonable distance from the centre. Staff always friendly and helpful.
The rooms were comfortable and clean.Shower room very nice and the staff were polite and seemed very happy in their work. Huge Tv screen but liked the fact there was no TV noise from other rooms. Complimentary breakfast (when it turned up - we were forgotten on 2nd morning) very well thought out.
Continental breakfast delivered to room at exact time it was asked for.
Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Large television on wall.
Location was just right. Able to catch a bus to Gloucester right opposite.
Bathroom was very clean.
No noise from outside the room.
My second stay at the Metro for business purposes - and it really does most things well at a very good price. Can't fault the presentation and cleanliness, the large screen TV is very impressive. Problems I had with noise in the room I had the first time I stayed were not repeated.
The staff were young, vibrant, helpful and gave off the aura that they cared. I reported one fault, that could be a future problem, and it was greeted with a thank you and an assurance that it would be sorted out as quickly as possible. A good ATTITUDE for such an occassion.
We have stayed at similar hotel types but Metro will be our first choice from now on. They represent good value for money and our stay was perfectly adequate with a lovely breakfast. thank you for recognising that for a huge number of people times are tough.
Cleanliness, good shower, warm room, comfortable bed, nice furniture,
pleasant breakfast, pleasant staff. Easy to find and get to, no parking
problems or charges. Free WiFi. I have stayed in Gloucester many time
and this was the best experience so far.
The hotel is a five minute walk away from from a few pubs, restaurant
and a 24 hour Tesco if you've forgotten anything, yet still in a
peaceful location, with easy access to the M5....all that and breakfast
brought to your room!.
Excellent in everyway - brilliant value, excellent breakfast, helpful staff, easy on-site free car parking, great local facilities such as places to eat. Bus stops close by. We cannot praise this hotel enough and we will return!.
Friendly helpful staff who seem to take pride in what they do, immaculately clean, good facilities for the price, surprisingly great breakfast + it was brought to the room! Did not expect that!. Would stay again if in area.
Hotel & staff excellent. Room very cosy & comfy, breakfast very good. A portable fan was in the room, this is a brilliant thing to have in this warm weather, other hotel's need to learn from this chain of hotel's
!.
Designer look of furnishings even though not expensive. Fabulous flat large HD television. Welcoming receptionist, location, breakfast delivered and great value for money.Compact but comfortable! Great value for money.
We enjoyed our visit just recently,we were treated extremly kindly by the staff ,we will be returning in the near future thats for sure,
We will be looking forward to coming back ,
Thankyou
Mr & Mrs R. Blair.
Big Room Big Bathroom Big tv Coffee and Tea in room with biscuits
(unusual for a budget hotel) Breakfast was delivered to room early as
requested. Would definately use again when staying in this area.
Loved the price, £35 per night for two people including breakfast!
Can't beat it. The staff are friendly. The rooms are funky with
leather furniture, big bed, big tv, great shower and wifi. Great!.
It is modern but homely. The decor is really nice, the rooms comfortable, the staff friendly and the breakfast...yummy. Really good value for money. A definite 'would return here' experience!.
The decor was to a high standard.
I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
On arrival I was welcomed in a professional and polite manner. The receptionist was very helpful.
I travel to Gloucester frequently for business and stay at the Siesta about every other time. The value is excellent, rooms small but clean and staff are always friendly and helpful.
Metro in was great as we just needed a bed for the night whilst visiting
relatives near by. Breakfast was great and was the deciding factor
between Ibis and holiday inn express.
Very clean, staff were lovely and very helpful. Good value for money
(for the discount price we paid). Overall very quiet and peaceful,
despite being on an industrial estate.
This was a clean and welcoming hotel. Continental breakfast was served
in a tray each morning in your room. Excellent price for an overnight
stay. Bed was comfortable.
The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good, better than I expected!
Would definitely stay here again. Excellent value for money.
Clean, comfortable, everything in place to tuck in, coffee, nice
breakfast. Everything but the fact they have not responded to my email
regarding the extra charge.
The staff/receptionwere outstanding with their welcome and
friendliness. The bed/pillows/room were extremely comfortable.
The room is well furnished and practical.
As female solo traveller appreciated the breakfast brought to room.
Hair-dryer supplied from reception when I had forgotten to bring my own.
availability of WiFi.
staff were brilliant as we had a couple of technical issues, shower was hot - and we had 2 dogs so being pet friendly was great! Range of choice at breakfast good.
Service was excellent.
Clean, smart room with excellent facilities.
Excellent breakfast. Outstanding value.
We will use Metro whenever possible - thank you.
you could please yourself when you went out and came back without having to wait for people to open doors, even at 4 am in the morning.
Also it was so quiet.
the hotel was unbelievable value for money, it was clean tidy and the room was well decorated, with nice facilities. can't commend this hotel enough.
thanks.
great place to stay close to where we were visiting relations.really enjoyed the breakfasts in the bedrooms. We could relax at the end of the day as well.
Good location, free car park, easy access, free WiFi, very clean and comfortable and well furnished, excellent shower, pleasant staff and nice breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to find location. Value for money. Proximity to Gloucester.
Excellent shower. Everything clean and well presented.
Friendly ,clean and good value for money. Close to good pubs, and an
Indian restaurant. Park and ride also close to make visits into the
city easy.
Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast excellent, very healthy. Staff very pleasant and obliging when extra milk, tea, coffee etc was required.
Quick and easy to check in.
Breakfast on time (at 5am).
Easy to find location.
Good Car Parking.
WiFi, T.V, Bed, Shower,
Just right for business.
Good breakfast served in room but would have preferred table and chair in room to eat this from. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and comfortable.
Friendly welcome by staff, very clean and well presented rooms
especially for the price. Very large flatscreen tv. Excellent WiFi
connectivity.
Spacious room, fab big tv in room, effective heating system, very quiet, friendly staff. Excellent value for money! I give them 9.5 out of 10!.

The hotels many faults are redeemed by a very pleasant and friendly staff. It is popular! Price is good. There is car parking.
Very nice people lovely decro and lovely rooms comfortable bed as well.
Staff were really nice and welcoming and friendly.
very good value for money.realy great breakfasts.would highley reccomend.love to see more mettro inns around the country.
Quiet location on a Sunday night, but not so sure about mid-week.
On bus route into Gloucester so no worries for parking.
Excellent staff and customer service, spotlessly clean, very good breakfast and brilliant value for money. Great TV too!,.
How easy the whole process of staying there was, Lovely clean room, TV was great and the breakfast is a fantastic touch!.
The room was small, but adequate for an overnight stay with freeview TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Wi-fi was only available in the lobby area, but again it was a minor inconvenience. The automatic front doors were closed on Saturday morning (6am) and with 2 desperate doggies and nobody around we had to prise the doors open to get out. They were back on automatic upon our return.
I can't think of anything!.
I was not struck on the continental breakfast...alas, due to stomach
problems, the only thing I was able to eat was the cereal and milk and
yogurt...the fruit etc I could not have...it would have been good to
have a little bit of a selection to chose from.
Small things only: no accessible sockets, just an extension lead - the socket(s) must be behind the bed(s). Lack of decaf coffee sachets.
A little noisy in the morning when people are going to work. At 6.30 the main noise is from water system - taps being turned on and water running. Apart from that, no problems.
Not having a chair in the room and a bit small to eat breakfast in.
The rooms are on the small side - with nowhere to sit and work with a laptop - and the breakfast is very basic but these are very minor niggles.
all was OK.
car park was scruffy and overgrown and didnt feel that secure as a result.
Doors banging - This is due to guests not the hotel but maybe fit some
sort of closing device to prevent it.
The tv seemed too big for the the size of the room.
Little bit out of the way for town centre/restaurants + rooms quite small + 'boxy', but nothing that would put me off staying again.
There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.
Nowhere to put washbag in bathroom and a bit concerned with the multi plug adaptor with 4 electrical appliances feeding off it. Car park a bit untidy.
No adverse to make everything was just fine.
Thankyou again.
Tv position on wall mounted bracket when swung out to face the bed
interferes with bathroom door. Had to be careful I didn’t take out the
tv when opening the bathroom door.
The electrics leave a lot to be desired. The plug points are in the
wrong place which leaves one extension to plug in a bedside lamp which
had to be unplugged when you want to use the kettle, not to mention
charging your phones overnight!.
Nothing for this box.
Squeaky door. While during the day it isn't a problem, at night any noise is intensified. Apart from the squeaky doors, everything fantastic.
There are some foibles you just get used to, like the lack of/inaccessibility of sockets, the sink plug pushers that stick, but I just worry that standards are slowly slipping from a very high level a year or so ago. A couple of niggly issues recently; missing sink plugs, a mattress that sagged. The adjacent plot (site of a demolished pub apparently) still looks like a bombsite. Still very good overall but be carefull not to slide, Siesta.
The shower did not work, hot water was in the pipe but would not come
out of head,we had H.w from sink. It was too late to complain when you
are naked! The staff were sorry but were not interested in maybe a
voucher off next stay or just letting the manager know.
The rooms are small (but you get what you pay for!) The breakfast
isn't lovely unless you like prepacked filled croissants. Can be a
bit noisy with the trolleys at breakfast time!.
The room was tiny with no wardrobe-kettle had to be balanced on a pouffe
and plugged into an extension cable beneath the small hanging rail. No
room for 2 people to move at same time. No toiletries except for a tiny
bar of soap.
The fact that they charged my credit card once more without my consent
and now they won't even answer an email.
Recommentation (not a complaint)
1. The basins are not useable. I reduced the flow (isolation valves UNDER the basin H & C) to prevent the water leaving the basin at speed when the tap is turned on (Room 45, Gloucester) I suggest all you rooms are similarly adjusted ... until the basins are changed.
2. There is no plug to the basin ... so it cannot be used for (wet) shaving
3. The basin is too small for anything but handwashing.
Carpark needs tarmacing as got shoes muddy when going out.
not having a small table which you could eat breakfast off-difficult off the bed!!.
Nothing.
Size of room very small - no space for luggage. No hook for clothing in bathroom or shelf for toiletries.
Overpowering smell of lilies in reception, toast and jam/ marmalade
would have been better than dry croissants for breakfast.
Would have liked a small chair in the room.
No clothes hanging space as such which was inconvenient as we stayed a week and room cramped when required to live out of suitcase.
The room was a little small. I was given the room next to reception
which was a bit noisy with people coming in and banging doors. There was
nowhere comfortable in the room to sit and work with a laptop. Delivery
of basic breakfast to the room is standard but I was not offered any
menu choice.
Breakfast was continental so not great but it was included in the very reasonable room rate so nothing much to complain about.
Didn't find any negatives really, but if i had to give one,a quick spray of mould and mildew remover used on tiles in shower would remove damp smell(but certainly didn't spoil our stay).
The main problem is that it is advertised as Siesta Inns but the huge sign on the hotel says METRO INNS. Very confusing!
Room is small. Litter all round car park. Shower was difficult to work etc.
Stayed Sunday night only, but isolated and buses stop running at 6pm! so if you venture into Glos by bus only taxis after 6pm.
Very difficult finding decent restaurants in Gloucester city centre - everywhere shuts at 6pm!.
Bed just slightly to hard but otherwise really good value.
