The premises were spotlessly clean as was the room and ensuite.   It was an ideal overnight B&B to give us a pleasant break on a long trip. We tried to book to stay on the way back but there were no vacancies - which was hardly a surprise as the visitor's book was full of nothing but praise.   The views from Syon House are simply wonderful and its proximity to the beach at Budleigh Salterton was certainly a bonus. Our room was an oasis of calm, with a fantastic shower & a very comfortable bed. The staff are friendly... the breakfast set us up for the day and we would both thoroughly recommend a stay there.   Very clean, friendly place. We were given the choice of two rooms first floor and top floor. We chose the top floor as sea view was excellent(room 10). Room was clean and comfortable and the power shower was fabulous. Breakfast was nicely cooked and more tea and toast was offered. Help yourself to juices and cereals (all branded). A family room was clean and the view to the sea - what else could you wish! Even bedsheets were cotton and not that synthetic as in most hotels! Recommend to everyone!
