There were many things I liked as you can see from the rating. The staff, in particular, were friendly and very helpful. They provide a great map of the surrounding area. This was my second time staying in Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro, but my first time staying in the dorm. It's a great hotel, very clean, free wifi and they have converters at the front desk for your electronics. It's really close to Ikebukuro station and there's a lot of good restaurants around and staff available 24 hours a day.

Recommended trips from personal experiences, offered umbrellas on rainy days, helped uncommom requests and even kept me company when I was sitting in the hotel cafe alone one day, chit chatting. Friendly staff, they can speak fluent English. There are staff from worldwide too! The cafe ambiance is very good and relaxing. Lovely, clean small hotel, with large, bright rooms by Japanese standard. The staff is very helpful and they speak good English. It is located in a nice, quiet environment close to shops, restaurants and about 10 minutes walk from the train station. This hotel is very close to Ayase station. The rooms are a bit larger
than your average business hotel and very clean. Staff were friendly
though if you don't speak Japanese you may need to get some help
talking with them. -
