Lovely, clean small hotel, with large, bright rooms by Japanese standard. The staff is very helpful and they speak good English. It is located in a nice, quiet environment close to shops, restaurants and about 10 minutes walk from the train station. The Nippori station is on the main "circle" line which takes you to Tokyo, Shibuya, Shinjuku, and other places of interest without the need to change the trains. Wifi,kettle,fridge and a/c all worked fine.The deepest bath I have ever seen! Lots of local information in English. Thoroughly recommend. Traditional japanese style hotel in an extremely nice and lively area of Tokyo called Yanaka, old Tokyo, 1o min from Nippori Station (36 min train to Narita airport - direct) and 3 min away from Metro line C. So very convenient locate. Many temples and 2 public baths around the corner. I like they provide bins to recycle. it is not widely spread in japan. I have been there many times. Even if working far away in Tokyo I prefer to stay at Katsutaro. There is a wealth of good eateries around. The connection to/from narita is perfect. Typical local neighbourhood. Only a minor niggle but the cooked breakfast option wasn't I think great value, and we wandered around to a local coffee shop opposite one of the entrances to sendagi metro station. Hard to find:). The toilet bowl seat in the room that isn't heated. The small TV. Not really serious complaints though, it's just that we were spoilt after travelling in Tokyo for a while!. Little: TV in Japanese only;. Nothing. The room could have been a little larger but really no complaints. Nothing. Traditional room, but i think it's a fake Riokan. Room are small for 4 people. Too much expensive. Nothing special. A bit 'rural' for some.
