The location was great. In front of Kyoto station. There is a shopping mall at the next block (AEON), where there are many stores, and also Daiso (100-yen shop). The Toji temple was near from this hotel, as well as Kyoto Aquarium. To get to most temples, travelers have to take bus lines, that are just across Kyoto station. Staff friendly. The hotel was excellent value for money and the buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious.
The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, with more space than expected.
The staff spoke good English and were very helpful.
The hotel also runs a frequent shuttle bus too and from the JR Kyoto train station which is very convenient. -

The hotel shuttle bus is great for getting to the station, from where you can get transport around the whole city.

Location right in Kyoto Train station but the room was very quiet. The staff were very polite and helpful with anything we needed. They even gave us recommendations and directions to the events we were looking for. The food was a bit expensive (if not included in the room) but convenient.

available to rent which is very convenient to visit the shrines which
are far away. The hotel rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The

Good location, very easy to walk to main shopping area and metro stations. The public bath is very good so we choose not to take bath in the bathroom of our rooms. Awesome two story authentic Kyoto house with an exceptionally service-oriented staff that is fluent in English. Just remember to keep a note with the address in Japanese and the phone number of the hotel, as many taxi drivers will not find the direction and will call the hotel owners for exact directions. When you have learned its location, you will easily navigate there. Highly recommended! -
Very clean, lovely traditional guesthouse. We booked in on short notice and were even given a tour of the house. Good facilities, everything you need for a stay. There was a tablet available for internet access which was great. But there is also WiFi available if you need it. Short walk to the town center and right beside a metro and bus stop if needed too. Overall we really enjoyed our stay
