Ryokan Kinoe is located in central Kyoto, just a 5-minute walk from the Gion area. It offers a traditional stone garden, 24-hour public baths and spacious rooms with private bathrooms. The hotel's location was great. It was in the Gion area, a few blocks away from Gion's corner. In front of the hotel bikes are available to rent which is very convenient to visit the shrines which are far away. The hotel rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff is attentive and breakfast is brought to your room, very luxurious. We liked the location very much! Very close to a major Shinto shrine, temples, beautiful parks, interesting shopping avenues, and sophisticated neighborhoods. The ryokan's staff was perhaps too attentive but friendly, and there was great attention to details and aesthetics.
