I'd like to thank Massimo and Sandro for their hospitality!!! The staff was extremely helpful. The hotel is 5-7 min walk from the nearest beach in a very green place. It looks like on photos, good breakfast, clean rooms. I recommend to book a delux one if possible with a huge balcony. I also like bike service

When we came in the evening, we thought that we are in the middle of nowhere. The Relais is run by two lovely sisters who went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The location is perfect with nice views and right in between Volterra & San Gimignano. Free wifi. One laundry for free and one spa treatment for free! And finally a local bottle of rosé to welcome us.

The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had plenty of choice which included freshly baked cake every day. Wonderful owners, gorgeous remote location with simple clean rooms. We had a wonderful bathtub and a veranda patio. There is a wonderful infinity pool and trails that take you to the closest town (15 min walk) where you can sample local Volpaia wine, vinegar and olive oil paired with fruit and cheese. We loved this beautiful 'home from home' country hotel. Guido and Martina were wonderful hosts, friendly but not intrusive. The views are incredible. We recommend the home-cooked dinner! The bedrooms have a chic yet rustic feel, with high quality linens and toiletries. Swimming pool looked nice but we didn't try it.

Despite arriving late in the evening we were welcomed warmly by Mariani, her husbond and staff. The food was delicious, the rooms spacious, beatiful and very clean with a fantastic view. Mariani was very helpful with advice of what to see in the area. Hotel convenient for visiting Lucca and Pisa.
